We ordered from this location via Grubhub where they are listed as "Pimp My Pasta" which I confirmed was them based on a call to the location after we received our food.
I'm not sure how it even happened, and when I spoke with the restaurant I got the impression they weren't sure how to process the order but didn't seem to think there was an issue.
We ordered $50 worth of food. A chicken fettuccine, garlic bread and lasagne.
The garlic bread, which was $8, was 2 pieces and when put together shorter and smaller than a McDonald's cheeseburger bun...just the bread.
The lasagna, pictured on a regular size dinner plate, was laughable for $16. The container wasn't even full.
The chicken fettuccine with chicken and spinach was insulting. It was $23. For 2 ounces of pasta and 5 tiny pieces of chicken (which somehow cost $4 additional...yes for those 5 small pieces of chicken) as well as 3 spinach leaves (which cost .99 extra). My Samsung cell phone is sitting next to the container for scale. My phone is 6.4 inches long...and it's longer than the container. It felt like they used the container they would use for a child sized portion...at adult prices.
Honestly that the restaurant even allowed this to leave their establishment thinking this was acceptable is stunning.
We suspect this might have been an error by the staff who were working. Somehow. When I called they did seem unsure how to handle processing the order and said this was a new order option the owner had added.
I'd be open to speaking with the manager (who was supposed to call us but never did) for an explanation as to what happened. But for now, be warned that the serving sizes are...
Read moreFirst time customer. Last time I will ever use this establishment. I’m giving 2 stars mostly because of poor customer service. My order for delivery was a large Veg. Pizza, a Cesar Salad and a 15 piece chicken wing order. The choices for sauce on the chicken were mild, spicy, habanero and bbq. I ordered “mild”. When it arrived my wife and I couldn’t eat the chicken it was so spicy. I called and spoke with the manager who argued that that was their mild sauce and it’s a matter of “taste” what is considered mild and spicy. This had a red spicy sauce in it. It was clearly not a “mild” sauce. I asked the manager to please take the charge off our bill since we could not eat the chicken. He refused and said “come in and taste the sauce we call mild”. Very poor customer service and as a result he lost a customer for life. Was that worth $15.99? The Pizza was ok and the Cesar was good. But I will never use Verdugo pizza again. Pizza Boy is a much better company. They were not open on Sunday of that would have...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for seven years. I use to love their food. I went in tonight for two dinners and two slices. The fried shrimp were burnt. The put some cold, burnt sausage on the pizza slices. The pizza was warm but the sausage was not cooked with the pizza. The changed from regular shrimp, butterflies and fried to coconut shrimp. Never said so. Just switched and never told anybody. And as I said all the shrimp was burnt. Also, changed brand of French fries. Not as good. Bought a slice of chocolate cake on the way out. A thin slice for $10.40 I hope this was just a bad day and the didn't change owner's. The three people in the restaurant tonight....never saw any of...
