El Sazón de mi Tierra — Restaurant in Glenwood Springs

Hi everyone! I had higher expectations for this place. I’m Mexican and I love my Mexican food. I’ve been to el Nopal, tequilas, sal mex, taco express taco truck and so on..so I will be comparing it to those. I wanted to give this place another shot, but unfortunately it failed my expectations, yet again. I have mostly dined in but I decided to DoorDash today. The nachos; 1/5. The plate was mostly filled up with chips it had little to no meat or beans.. it was embarrassing. Also they were soggy. Not DoorDashers fault since He was waiting for the food to be ready, also it’s not even a 5 min drive to my house. We also got the ceviche. It was delivered in a small container with mostly Pico de gallo. Maybe 2 pieces of shrimp max. Totally overpriced for the amount of what you’re getting and only it being vegetables. 0/5 before I have ordered the torre de mariscos. 2/5 they should’ve called it torre de fruita, because there was little to no Mariscos.The portion size is extremely big for just one person it’s overwhelming. Seems like they’re stingy with meat. I sincerely would stay away from this place if you want real authentic, tasty, juicy Mexican food. I would try tequilas or nopal. Worth the price!

¡Hola a todos! Tenía mayores expectativas para este lugar. Soy mexicana y amo mi comida mexicana. He comido en el Nopal, tequilas, sal mex, taco express taco truck etc.. así que lo compararé con esos restaurantes. Quería darle otra oportunidad a este lugar, pero desafortunadamente falló mis expectativas, una vez más. Siempre he cenado en restaurante, pero hoy decidí comprar por DoorDash (delievery) los nachos; 1/5. El plato estaba lleno en su mayoría de tortilla, tenía casi nada de carne o frijoles. . fue vergonzoso. También estaban empapados. No es culpa de los DoorDashers ya que estaban esperando que la comida estuviera lista, no mas de 5 minutos en automóvil para llegar a mi casa. También probamos el ceviche. Se entregó en un contenedor pequeño con principalmente Pico de gallo. Tal vez 2 piezas de camarones picados máximo. Totalmente caro para la cantidad de lo que obtienes y solo son vegetales. 0/5 Antes he pedido la torre de mariscos. 2/5 deberían haberlo llamado torre de fruita, porque había poco de Mariscos. El tamaño de la porción es extremadamente grande para una sola persona, es abrumador. Siento que este lugar son tacaños con la carne. Sinceramente, me mantendría alejado de este lugar si quieres comida mexicana auténtica, sabrosa y jugosa. Probaría tequilas o nopal. ¡Vale el precio y...

This place was recommended by a friend of mine from Texas him and his family when to Aspen and found this amazing place so when I have the chance to go last weekend to Aspen have a wonderful time and definitely enjoy this place Diana was wonderful server and Flor the Cook she make a amazing Birria/Barbaco I like to point out the from different places in Mexico we call this Birria cuz has chile already on it and Barbacoa is Dry and u get the consome separately but wherever u call it this was amazing flavor like mole and consome WOW anyway I was liking my fingers OFF also the salsa was amazing hot and testy to little of a portion for me 🤣😂😂🤣😉😎 but that's just me 😉😎THX for the wonderful time and definitely a 10/10 THX Flor and Diana u guys deserve a Big...

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. We came in and were told we could sit anywhere (the restaurant was literally empty besides door dashers). Took 10 minutes for them to ask what we would like to drink and told someone would be bringing chips and Salsa. We asked for stuffed oysters as an appetizer. 10 more minutes go by, still NO chips and salsa, NO appetizer, and STILL NO DRINKS. After 30 minutes of waiting with no service we decided to leave. The workers saw us leaving and didn't even stop us to ask why. There were people picking up door dash orders and NO ONE attended them.
