My wife and I spent a long weekend here for our anniversary. Derek was a great host, and you can tell he works hard making his B&B a home away from home for travelers. Our room was very comfortable. Derek has added several comforts to the rooms. Flat screen TV with Netflix and Hulu. Ceiling fan, AC unit and a very comfortable bed. The eagle claw bath tub had a shower just in case you dont have time for a long soak. The decor takes you back to an earlier time which fits the little home perfectly. The hot tub was a welcomed sight after spending a day out exploring all that Glenwood Springs has to offer. The B&B is within walking distance from the downtown area, offering food, drink, shopping, and entertainment. Derek even has bicycles available if you so choose. The continental breakfast had many things to choose from. You can choose to sip your coffee inside at the little dining table while reading the paper, or sit in the rocking chairs outside next to the little koy pond. My wife and I loved our stay here. We've already agreed to stay there any time we visit Glenwood Spring. Thanks Derek for a wonderful, peaceful time spent at your B&B!

This is best place my wife and I have stayed. Derek is the best host of a wonderful bed and breakfast. The house was an antique museum with comfort and class. From the first step through the door it felt like a home away from home. This was the most welcoming bed and breakfast we have had the pleasure of staying in. My wife loved the claw tub and the shower was always hot and enjoyable. The lady of the house was so sweet. My wife and I were there for our anniversary. I woke early and asked if I could surprise my wife with breakfast in bed. I asked if I could make it, they insisted that they would do it for us. The food was amazing and definitely gained me brownie points with my wife. The jacuzzi was wonderful, it was clean and at a perfect temp. The back porch was so relaxing in the morning to drink your coffee and watch sportscenter. The rooms are living art and we both slept so well in the comfortable bed and really enjoyed the cleanliness of the whole house. We are already planning our next trip in the near future. Thank you guys for making our anniversary weekend as special as it was.

I found this place online. My girlfriend loved it very cute. We got there early 1pm and the owner totally accommodated us. There's only two rooms here which made it perfect. We had our breakfast and coffee out on the front porch in rocking chairs and that evening we had champagne and snacks by the fire pit in back. I give this place five stars Plus.

July 19th - 21st, 2025

A very warm and gracious reception on day of arrival took the time to show us around and according to three of the four in our party offered access to the kitchen to cook with a "help yourself." We were surprised that the breakfast was not a hot breakfast when speaking to him previously over the phone he did not mention only Continental he just assured us that breakfast was taken care of.

So on our first morning we commenced to cooking some scrambled eggs, 8 eggs, three slices of cheese and a little bit of 2% milk, as there was only Almond milk in little fridge, 2 lemon-lime soda waters. We made sure that the kitchen was thoroughly cleaned before leaving to venture out. Upon our return, after 3 of the 4 headed upstairs to get ready to come down to play some cards, Derek entered and proceeded to berate me about our accessing THEIR food. I apologized and explained that one of the ladies stated she had heard him say that if we wanted to cook, help ourselves because he stopped cooking for guests due to different schedules. Continental breakfast is alright, but we are used to a hot breakfast everytime weve stayed in a bed & breakfast (over 13 times.)

The rooms were very nice, beds comfortable and both rooms had their own bathrooms, well stocked.

Downstairs was very warm and stuffy even with front & back doors open (no AC downstairs.)

On our last morning Derek came to sit with my wife and I and chalked the previous day to a misunderstanding, with no apology, but seemed very warm and sincere. I again apologized for our party (my 4th time.)

Except for the no hot breakfast and the warm stuffy Downstairs, my wife and I would probably stay there again if we booked a B & B as opposed to a hotel in Glenwood Springs CO. ...

It's hard to pick out one thing that stood out from our stay considering that everything about this charming little bed and breakfast was fantastic! Derrick is an absolute gem of a host who wants nothing but the best for his guests. His warm and welcoming personality shows in the accomodations and service. Located within easy walking distance of downtown, we rarely had to get into our car for what we wanted to do. The back patio is a perfect way to relax after a long day checking out what Glenwood springs has to offer - whether you hit up the hot tub or sit down around the fire pit while watching TV, it was a great way for us to decompress before bed! The room and bathroom itself is cozy, with a spacious comfortable bed and large bathroom. The continental breakfast has a nice variety of coffee, tea, orange juice, cereal, muffins, granola bars, fruit, and oatmeal. And to cap it all off, there was great care to the attention to detail of the period piece decor throughout the BnB - even while you enjoy modern day amenities, you're constantly reminded that you're staying in a building over 100 years old where your mind can only imagine just how many people have walked these halls.

Thank you, Derrick, for such a comfortable and relaxing stay! We'll be sure to stay here again on...
