Veltus Park — Attraction in Glenwood Springs

We stopped for a picnic lunch on our drive between Black Canyon National Park and Boulder, and we found great picnic tables under a shelter near the river. The area was spotless, and the bathrooms were clean and fresh. Of course they had great water bottle refilling fountains (it is Colorado after all). Beautiful park that is right on the Roaring Fork river. Good access to the river for fishing and getting your feet wet. Pets must be leashed. This is a great place to host an event. Reservations are a must, but definitely well worth it. There are picnic tables all throughout the park. Tons of activities for young and old.
