I have been to many McAlister's, but I have never been to one so poorly managed as this one.
When my mother and I arrived, there was a small line along with a few people sitting at tables. Little did we know half of the people sitting at the tables had already ordered and were waiting. Who knowsp how long they had been waiting when we arrived.
The person at the front of the line, had placed his order online, he was there to pick it up. (The register for those orders was not open) His order was not correct. On top of having to stand in line to get his order, now he had to wait even longer for it to be corrected. There was a brief conversation with the manager where she did not apologize and instead told the customer they were "not fast food".
We should have left then, but we didn't. Big mistake.
After 15 min in a line of only 2 people ahead of us, we ordered. Half soup and half sandwich. Nothing special. Everything as the way it is listed on the menu.
Found a table.
While waiting for out order, one eat in group received their order and it was wrong. A 2nd eat in group had the same experience. They didn't have time to get their order fixed as it was time for them to go back to work.
We had some mutual friends come in and they sat with us. Their order was completed before ours. But not really. Our order had gotten placed over with the drive thru orders and had been sitting there.
This is when the real fun started. I ordered the jalapeno turkey crunch sandwich. I received the veggie. How that mix up was made...I honestly don't know.
I took my wrong sandwich to the counter, explained the problem. Not once did I get any type of an apology. The manager came out with my remade sandwich...THEY REMADE THE SAME VEGGIE SANDWICH.
It took another 5plus minutes to get the correct sandwich. There was absolutely no sense of urgency on anyone's part nor any type of apology for the mistake.
The only way I would recommend this place would be if you have at least 2 hours to waste and you are the only person in the restaurant. Maybe then they can get your...
Read moreWent in on 3/12/23 at around 7:30, excited to give this place a try for the first time. I always drove by since moving here a year ago and finally looked up the menu online and couldn’t wait to give it a shot. My fiancé and I walked in and now I’m not surprised that the place was completely empty. As soon as we walked in, the person up front walked to back of house. We were not greeted or asked to wait a minute- nothing. We stood there for several minutes trying to decide on what to try. Mind you we talked about it and debated and argued about which side to split, so it was in fact, at least five minutes bare minimum. After we decided we waited a bit longer. We looked around and wondered what was taking so long since there was literally no one in there. The two workers in the back were laughing and having a good time and even peeked out the window at us. All the while the phone was ringing non stop with no one answering it at all. After a few more minutes we decided they had waisted enough of our time and we would go somewhere else. My fiance, understandably irritated said “Thanks anyways guys!” And the girl in back looked out at us again with a sarcastic smile and said “oh I’m so sorry.” We will NEVER go back and I sadly cannot review based on the actual food. Would put Zero Stars if it would let me. Needs new...
Read moreMy first opinion walking in the restaurant was its dirty (There was trash on a lot of tables) some napkins on the floor where people had been sitting. I went at lunch so that is understandable but they need someone out there cleaning that up so it will not look as messy. Second thing I did not like was I had no idea what to order so I told the cashier it was my first visit and asked her what would she recommend. She didn't say anything other than we have soup, sandwiches, and spuds. (I could gather that from the menu) She seemed frustrated with me because I was trying to look at the menu and see what was available. I ended up going with the choose 2 lunch, I got the soup and a grilled chicken club sandwich. I waited 15 minutes for my food and when she gave it to me there was a hair in my bag, asked them to give me a new one and she rolled her eyes and got another one. I left went back to work to eat my lunch. (the potato soup to me seemed like it had been frozen and reheated and my sandwich was all over my box thrown in different pieces. This was my first and probably last time going to McAlister's. I do not care to eat soup that tastes frozen, I would have loved for my sandwich to have been put together and not all over my box, and the restaurant itself should have been cleaner for...
