MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in Gonzales

Rude staff acted as if it was an inconvenience to serve us. Were out of shakes! How does a burger joint run out of shakes?! The overall condition of the restaurant was filthy! The drink station was covered in grime and we couldn't use the lemonade because it wasn't running and it look stagnant in the containers. The smell of old grease coming from the trash cans made our stomachs flip. Majority of the tables were dirty and the booth we sat at was soooo sticky and gross. I tried my best to use the baby wipes to clean the area. We couldn't even use the high chairs or booster seats for our children because the straps were broken and they were so dirty. However, the icing on the cake from our horrible experience was that the worker was casting her trash tv episode (love island) from her personal phone. I do not want to be eating lunch with my young children while hearing curse words and sex talk! We also observed serval times the same worker watching her show while attempting to cook fries. Since the restaurant was so filthy, I didn't want to attempt to change my 2 yr old & 7 month old diaper in the restroom. I'm glad I didn't because another review mentioned a month ago on how horrible the bathrooms were. We arrived back home at 7pm that evening from a day of shopping and errands and my 7 month old still smelled like burger grease! 5 hrs later and I could still smell the grease! This was our second visit to this location, but unfortunately it will be our last. Please send someone to do a deep cleaning of the restaurant & get new staff if you want any chance of this location to survive! Visiting the area on business and made an online order. Went to pickup food. Kitchen is absolutely dirty doesnt look like anyone has cleaned the backwall or grill in months. Girl that works there sitting in the dining area and jumps up when I walk in. There is a black male that walks from the kitchen area into the back area and comes back out. I say hi and he appeared to have a little attitude. Girl made my milk shake. No coke zero and other fountain drinks were out. Not asked if I wanted any condiments or napkins Not given a spoon or straw for the milk shake

Went to the fountain drink area and their was a box of bendy straws (not wrapped) purchased from a local store for anyone with nasty hands to reach into. mmmmm no thank you!

Went back to my hotel room . The patty melt is disusting and missing the onions and mustard. The bread is soggy The loaded fries was a jumble of hot mess bacon hard as a rock, bottom of box filled with cheese fries dumped on top then topped with jalapeno and burnt hard bacon.

Horrible place and would never go back, food sucks. This place needs some real management Left a goole map review.

UPDATE: What kind of garbage auto reply message is that? Are you kidding me, I wouldn’t revisit this establishment if it was the only place to eat in the entire town. Either you didn’t read the review or you actually did and that is your lame response. Either way- Thanks...

From Hero to Zero. Mooyah off Hwy 30 near Cabela's in Gonzales.

The place still looks like it has no insulation after all the years of it being open, but I'm gonna give them a fair shot and go step by step.

Food 2/5 Buns have gotten smaller, Patties are bland and unmemerable. I got the Double Diablo and it only had a "Speck" of the orange sauce they put on there. They straight up forgot my girlfriend's Queso and her burger, and my 3 years old got a Grilled Cheese, which she hated, and she loves grilled cheese. The Chocolate Mocha Milkshake tastes awful. Just Milkshake with Chocolate syrup and maybe some Coffee Beans.

Service 1/5 Had an Employee just chilling in the seats sideways. Probably on break. The rest of the crew was very soft spoken and lifeless. When my girlfriend went up about her burger, they just squirted it on there.

Atmosphere 1/5 A TV awaiting Input. Nothing on. No music. Quiet. Dead. Tiles shaking below my feet on the way to the bathroom. Looks like Vinyl that isn't set all the way.

Overall 1/5 It's been a long time since this opened up. When I first moved back to Gonzales about 5-7 years ago. It's a relic left in the dust and has not stood the test of time. Next time? Just drive through Checkers...
