Tang Buffet — Restaurant in Gonzales

I'm unsure of where to start, however I am very disappointed. When we first walked in we ordered 4 drinks. 1 sprite, 1 water, 1 diet coke and 1 dr.pepper. I have been coming to this restaurant since i was little and was never disappointed. This was the first time in 17 years I have ever experienced anything like this. I had gotten a roll and some sesame sea chicken. They both are usually good, but this time I will have to say i felt sick to my stomach when i took my first bite. The chicken was really dry and there were Ants on and inside my roll. Then she had given us 2 dr.peppers and no diet coke. Then, she comes back to grab our plates and leans so far she pours the sprite all over the table and onto the floor. I had to help her clean the table and it looked as if she had gotten dizzy and pale. Then we had asked what she was going to do about the ants and kept asking if we wanted something else. She had completely ignored our question and she was going to charge us all for food when two of us had gotten nauseous after our first bites. We had asked if she could only charge for 2 people due to me finding ants and my younger cousin feeling nauseous after his first bite. I never want to write bad reviews but sometimes it happens and I hate doing it but it is Very necessary. There was a harsh lack of food, food was dry, food had bugs, and usually its busy but now I understand how people haven't gone there in a while now. I don't want her to lose her job, and i don't want the place shut down because it is my favorite buffet. But it takes alot to disappoint me and everything in that place today made me sick to my stomach as I had said earlier. I have no words to express how unexpected that visit was and I do not plan on going until they have had a health inspection and I pray the place doesn't...

Visited one afternoon with my husband and have been back four times in the last week.

Food is great. I don’t have any complaints, but I did read some of the reviews and unfortunately they’re not fair. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants because working long hours I didn’t cook for almost 3 years and so I’ve eaten at a lot of places three meals a day and the truth is there has not one place that hasn’t had a bad day where something is over cooked or an employee not doing their job or short staffed and the food isn’t perfect. But having one bad meal and leaving a review is ridiculous, I can understand if you’ve eaten here a few times and it’s gotten bad over the years every time you visit but one bad visit come on.

HANDS DOWN the most disgusting buffet I have ever been to. Not one thing tasted good, then I paid $18 for this?! No signs on 1/3 of the items, so anyone with food allergies can't even touch those. chicken wings were inedible and clearly from the day before. Everything tasted funny, and the wonton broth was so salty it burned my tongue. Nothing for dessert except these stale squares of some kind of cake, again, NO LABEL!!!

Then I get home and vomit. Im sure I have food poisoning on top of it all. This place should be shut down. Super pissed, paid $20 to be sick. Also, the people giving this place good reviews are either fake or they HAVE NEVER EATEN ANYTHING BUT CANNED DOG FOOD. I like Chinese buffets. Never been to one that I couldn't find at least one thing that was really good. I can't stress this...
