This place is absolutely amazingly good!!! I have been staying at the hotel next to it on and off for almost 3 years. I wish I would of found this place sooner. I walked in and there was literally nobody there which was great. My order was taken immediately and food was out before I was even done paying. I had chicken and sausage jambalaya that was just on point!! I don't like a bunch of big chunky vegetables in my jambalaya and it's hard to find a place that doesn't have it in there!! Well... This place don't, as it just has the rice, spices, chicken, sausage and the flavor is not comprised!!! Second I had a bowl of red beans and rice which again was amazing. Last but not least, I had two small sides of navy beans is what I call them. Some might call them white beans. I can't find many restaurants that have these and again these were so good and off the charts!! One more thing is the price.. The price was very very reasonable and I felt like i got more than my moneys worth. This food was so good that I'm driving back to home tomorrow in Houston. Texas and I'm going straight to the store to buy the stuff to try my hand at some jambalaya. lol. All around good experience and definitely...

If you like restaurants that give you the kind of food you'd get at a family cookout, this is for you. If you want professionally cooked food that hasn't been sitting out all morning, I'd recommend trying somewhere else. The food comes in styrofoam boxes like at a cafeteria, which is good if you'd like it to go, but less than attractive if you're dining in. I got a hamburger steak when I went with my family this week, one of their specials of the day; it came out in about five seconds, which - combined with the fact that the meat and my mac and cheese side were cold - goes to show that they'd had the dish ready for a while. I understand that having food pre-made saves time, but you have to keep it heated properly until served. Trying my sister's dish, their jambalaya, which is supposed to be their bread and butter, was nothing special either, and lacking flavour in my opinion. Again, good if you'd like something fast and filling, but I wasn't a fan and won't...

The jumbalaya is delicious! They give you alot of meat. The chicken is super tender, definitely would buy the chicken by itself if that was an option it's so good. I've tried the gumbo (also really good) but I still choose the jumbalaya anyday. They have daily lunch specials too, the shrimp stew definitely my favorite. Great place to eat, prices are great too. They also sell jumbalaya by the bucket if you want to bring home to feed the family, and very affordable. Cheaper than eating fast food and way better quality. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the sides. The red beans could be better in my opinion. Overall the sides could be a little better. Best place for jumbalaya though, I crave it...

Just like Momma's cooking! I just found this place, & I'm glad I did. If you're a local, you will find the menu here familiar. Jambalaya & Gumbo are the standard fare, but there's a lunch special that's gool ol' Southern comfort food. Today was chicken stew, pork roast, & a dish called the Charlie Johnson. I had the stew, & it was yummy! The chicken was very tender, & the flavor was, well, to repeat myself, familiar. It tasted exactly as it should've! The store was clean, & staff was very friendly & helpful, too. I'd highly recommend the Pot & Paddle restaurant. (It's off the Cabelas Parkway, on the right. I'll see you there!)

We live out of state and visited Pot and Paddle about two years ago. The staff was very friendly and let us sample the jambalaya before we purchased. It was delicious. We were in town again this week and stopped by the night before Thanksgiving. I was disappointed that they were out of jambalaya and only had pastalaya. I had already decided to just wait until our next visit, but ended up trying the pastalaya anyway. It was also delicious. The staff again were incredibly friendly. Whatever it takes, I will always come back when we are here.
