Thai Phooket 2 is a delightful culinary gem that left me thoroughly satisfied. From the moment I indulged in the shrimp appetizer, I knew this dining experience was going to be exceptional. The chicken pad Thai, a personal benchmark for any Thai restaurant, surpassed expectations with its delectable flavors and perfect balance of ingredients. It's my go-to dish when exploring new Thai eateries, and Thai Phooket 2 nailed it.
The culinary journey continued with the red curry featuring succulent beef, an exquisite blend of spices, and a generous serving of vibrant vegetables. The dish exhibited a harmonious fusion of flavors, providing just the right level of spice. The mango sticky rice, a sweet denouement to the savory feast, was a tantalizing treat that left my taste buds craving more.
Beyond the culinary delights, the service at Thai Phooket 2 was commendable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The prices are remarkably reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality of food served. Parking was convenient, and the bustling yet clean ambiance added to the overall positive impression.
In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Thai Phooket 2 to fellow food enthusiasts seeking an authentic and satisfying Thai dining experience. This establishment excels not only in culinary expertise but also in providing a welcoming atmosphere and excellent value for your...
Read more1 star redemption for good food. However, if I could give 0 stars for service, I would. I'll list the many ways they went wrong, see the attached receipt. 1. The menu price listed online is wrong. Online they were $8.95, and at the register it was $9.95. When I told him, he said oh. That's it. 2. They added a 15% service fee. What service you ask? Putting the food in a bag? Not sure myself. This service fee was not mentioned on the phone. When I asked about it, the cashier said, "oh, it's only like 3 dollars", trying to brush off the shock value of paying for a "service" I didn't receive. Also, the fee is charged on orders over $20 (up to the owner's discretion), which even with the price hike didn't come to. What's $9.95 + $9.95?? Not $20. So if the owner's discretion adds the fee.. The owner can remove it? 3. In addition to 1 &2, and probably the worst, the cashier's attitude about me questioning the price was disgusting. He wants to make it seem like this audacity and dishonesty won't drive away patrons. I can assure you I'm not alone in noticing the shady practices of this establishment. If you want to raise prices, do so, but nickel & diming customers will leave you counting just that....
Read moreThis is a hole in the wall. Tables/chairs reminds me of a Chinese restaurant. It might have been a fast food place at one time. Not a place I would want to go on a first date, but definitely a great place if you are done trying to impress each other. I came for early dinner and they had a consistent flow of people coming in for early dinner. I would have love to try there lunch specials. Maybe next time. I ordered Tom Yum soup with chicken. It had a nice flavor, but missed the essentials. In this case lime, lemon grass and kaffir (lime leaves). The soup was also sweeter and it did not have the sweet & sour combination that is essential to Thai cooking. I added lime, better, but still missed the other flavors. This may be cooking from the central part of Thailand, but way sweeter. It might also be an off day for the cook. I also ordered the squid salad. Great mix of salad greens, not just iceberg. Squid was cooked perfectly, not over cooked. Again, it was very sweet. Good flavor, but too sweet. I loved there sticky rice with mango. The rice had slivers of coconut which is a nice touch. Sweetness was not an issue, lol. For Thai food, they are very reasonable, the icing...
