Came into your establishment last night for the second time , and was super dissatisfied with the way we were treated . The first time I was there was back in April for my birthday, had a large party on the patio and spent over 600$ for my guests to have a good night with me , we did with no problems. Last night I expected the same , the 4 of us took a cab to auggies , got in a booth to watch the BROWNS game , asked the server to get us some pitchers and a round of shots , from word go we were told we couldn't have our shots and beer at the same time ? !?!? We complied with this , even though it made us all uncomfortable. As the night went on we ordered food ,and more drinks , each time there was an issue with is receiving our order. Even overhearing some of the staff make some fairly rude comments about our table .Not once did anyone at our table say or do anything but gracefully and politely accept the way we were being waited on . Paid our 200+ $ tab ,ordered our Uber , tipped out the amazing server ,cause its not her fault at all . Here's my problem ,I'm also a server at a very high volume restaurant ,so I understand this industry very well , never have I ever treated or gone out of my way to make a patron feel unwelcome or that awkward . I understand the liquor license, and the laws regarding them .The way we were handled was appalling. I could have understood the way we were handled had we been obnoxious in anyway , we weren't . We made sure we were safe coming and leaving your establishment, So long story short, I will make sure my friends and family stay clear of your place , no person should be made to feel that unwelcome or uncomfortable ,especially the given the amount of we money spent...
Read moreDon't spend your money here if you want good service, first and foremost. I will preface this post by telling you I have been in the restaurant and bar industry 15 years, so this actually is backed by experience and knowledge. I have given this neighborhood bar & grill repeated chances to improve on mediocre service, and they never do. Having gone during NFL Sunday football when it's busy, and during slow times, the average is only average. Both girls behind the bar today would be on the floor midweek only, if they worked for me... obviously lacking any kind of social skills or personality. Neither one asked me how I was, introduced themselves, nor engaged me in any conversation whatsoever. Neither girl behind the bar asked me during my meal how it was, if there was anything else I needed, nor after, nor promptly removed my plate when done.
Add to this, every single time I visited this establishment I've been wearing a military hat, and NOT OFFERED ONCE a military discount. Neither girl behind the bar said more than a couple words to me in 45 minutes, but gave fantastic service to the younger local men they knew. If either one of these girls were employed by me and I owned this establishment, neither would be working the bar where personality and service is 95% of the reason why a person chooses to spend their hard earned cash.
On a side note, If I was the manager, who I have actually complained to in person face-to-face...I would have remembered my name, my face, and most likely at least bought me a beer and said "thanks for coming back".
Go somewhere else.They do not...
Read moreGood food. Nice set up. Looks busy even when it isn't. We went right after they cleared out one evening (we watched about thirty people leaving as we came in.), which is why everybody (staff) looked so defeated, I think. It was our first time in, and the guy at the front desk watched us as we walked up and opened the door. It sounds petty, but I was bothered that he walked away from opening the door and stepped behind the front desk as we walked in. What ever happened to greeting guests properly and opening the door for them? So, we were sat at the table right next to the door and the host (actually the owner, we found out) had a scowl on his face almost the whole time. It was actually uncomfortable to watch, but it was the only view I had. I finally said something to our waitress like, "tell him the days almost over, it'll get better." I don't know if she did, but he came over, talked to us and started smiling. Changed everything. People make mistakes, and sometimes even owners forget they're constantly on stage. The reason I'm giving five stars is because he could have stayed in the bad mood all night, but he snapped out of it for the guest. Service...
