Diorio's Pizza — Restaurant in Grand Junction

My brother and I are really big on New York style pizza. For us personally this hit it every aspect of what we like. So we were in town for a week last day is tomorrow 23rd and tried a few different places but this is our 4th time eating here, as this was the winner.

A good undercarriage (crust) little flop but overall firm. Sauce was tangy and flavorful (1st bite was different but it blended well with everything), if you like plain boring sauce lol this isn't for you...

Cheese had flavor and wasn't dry very moist as pizza cheese should be.

Very little grease even when we tried the pepperoni which was nice.

Garlic bread was tender, cheese and flavor on point.

Sausage rolls (never had one until today Aug 22.) I look forward to trying it.. update.. sausage roll is on point.. good crust roll crisp on the out and tender on the in, sausage has a nice kick and with the sweet peppers is was flavorful..dipping sauce was a nice compliment... you can not go wrong trying them.

To me this places gets a solid 7.7 (Dave portnoy, one bite pizza)...

I like pizza places with ready to go slices. Every time I’ve been in here they’ve had simple slices ready to go that look great and are great. They seem to default to warming it, but will serve it right to you if you ask. Good sauce, good crust, perfect flop. Pepsi products in the machine. I keep forgetting they have coke products in the fridge closer to the dining area. Seems busy at times, but fast friendly service and I’m able to get in and out in about 5 minutes for lunch. I’ve never eaten in or ordered from the menu, but the menu items are diverse and good vibes coming from the dining area. Disppointing to say the least. Takeout order was wrong on both items ordered. Made a complaint once I got home and noticed the problems. Was told to bring it back and they would remake it. REALLY? That is your solution? I live in Redlands so let me just get right on that. Pretty sure you should either deliver a correction or offer a free replacement for the future. Photo of "double sausage" pizza attached. What does a not double sausage look like? Overpriced sausage rolls with a half slice of sausage link inside were another disappointment.
