Burger King — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

Well. This is long so prepare. I was disappointed, to say the least! First of all, this is, rather was, my favorite Burger King. But, on Thursday night, 10-06-2022 around 545pm, I went there for my usual meal. The lobby was closed so I drove thru. I ordered a whopper with cheese only mustard, pickle and onion with extra pickle extra mustard with a side of onion rings. Oh my goodness!! I got home and was ready to enjoy. I was upset as all git out!! No cheese, very little mustard and a mountain pile high of pickles and pile high of onions AND the onion rings were undercooked. I drove back up there and asked for the General Manager of whom I was told was not there. Then, I asked for the Manager. This older black lady with maroon colored high weave hair and glasses came to drive thur window. I showed her my sandwich and she said this is how it’s supposed to look. I bucked my big eyes at her and said no it’s not and that I come to this Burger King on my lunch and order the same thing and it has NEVER looked like this!! She offered to fix me another one and I was cool with that. My eyes bucked again when I looked at that sandwich. I told that young man that I wanted my money back. He had the gawl to ask me for the onion rings back of which I left at home. Ok y’all, I intelligently lost it. I told that young man that I don’t have those damn onion rings and I just drove back up here cause y’all didn’t fix that sandwich right. Give me my damn money back just for the sandwich. Well, that manager told him to give me all my money back!! To add to this clown show, neither the manager with the high maroon hair nor the young mulatto male with the huge blond twisted Afro who worked the drive thru were wearing hairnets!!! The manager was fixing the foods and should have known better how to properly prepare the foods AND should have made sure ALL knew this as well as making sure all were wearing hairnets. I can say this about my former fave Burger King; this place is always clean during the breakfast and lunch sessions. The Hispanic ladies are clean and wearing hair coverings. My food is always prepared to perfection and they know the proper procedures. This NIGHT crew needs to be retrained and the GM needs to see what his manager and crew is like at night. OoooWeeee! Y’all. I was so disappointed. I don’t eat fast food often but when I do, I expect it to be on point each and every time. This is why I gave this place 1Star. [Oh and they had a sign in the window that the receipt machine was broken so no receipts were issued that night. Well. As a Chicago native this is a sure recipe for funds to be stolen by workers as I have seen...

This BK has a pretty awesome play area. There's even slides etc for toddlers. The staff here is so nice. They kept checking in on us and interacting with our 14 month old. One of the guys made a point to bring him one of their paper crowns already put together. It was really sweet. Just don’t see much of that nowadays. Always nice to have options of where to take the little ones. Only thing is they don't have changing tables in the restrooms. But other than that it's pretty great. The play area has a sizable area to eat and even a closed off area to eat within the play area.

Edit May 2024: Brought son to play today and the ac was clearly not working in the play area. There's actually a thermostat that you can see and even press buttons etc. It was set to cool to 75 but the temperature read that it was 80 degrees in there. I went and asked the person behind the counter if it was broken. She very nonchalantly said yes and when asked them about it getting fixed, once again nonchalantly stated that it's been like that for months and no one can get it fixed. Luckily my now 20 month old and I were dressed in light clothing. He was content playing so for the moment we stayed. A few minutes later I'm in the lower part of the play area with my son which is just soft mats mostly etc... and the same lady I spoke to about the ac said her manager asked her to come talk to me that I can’t be on the playground equipment (even though I have a small child—her words) because the playground equipment can only support up to 80 lbs. (Currently 6 months pregnant with 2nd.) I told her the manager would like to get the ac fixed and we'd be happy to...

Okay so I JUST got back from this location originally I just wanted fries but decided to get a chicken sandwich meal because I haven’t been here in so long, wanted to see what the quality of food is like. It was HORRIBLE. I got home looked at the sand which and can tell it wasn’t cooked all the way... all you do is put it in a fryer??? How is that SO hard? I wasn’t asking for an arm and a leg. THEN the mayonnaise was in the middle not even spreaded around the sand which HOW LAZY CAN YOU BE?!. It was just disgusting and sorry as hell. Who over is cooking needs to get fired because there’s people out there that need that check and would do a WAY better job. There’s really no excuse, I work in food service and this is repulsive. Another thing. The girl working the drive thru window was rude and obviously cared more about her coloring book boo boo the clown make up on her face than her quality of work she’s doing. She also has to GO. I understand Burger King isn’t a 5 star restaurant or anything but you gotta have better standards than that. One more thing the coke I ordered didn’t even taste like coke it was FLAT and I mean I shouldn’t be drinking coke because it’s bad in general but that’s definitely not bringing you anymore customers by any means. Do NOT come here and don’t bring ur KIDS. Atleast go to McDonald’s atleast they show a little effort. 10/10 worst Burger King. You can see whatever manager is running this goof troop isn’t trying to make a difference at all with the low ratings they have been getting for the longest. Go figure. A waste of $8.
