Taqueria Taco Express — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

So I'm visiting Dallas and I checked some places near me for good food and I saw the pic of the fish, #22 on the menu btw, and I was like this looks good, let's try it. I get their and order my food. The guy who I now know is Omar was very friendly. He tells me it will be a few minutes to get my fish cooked. No problem I know good food takes time! This place is connected to a convenience store as well, so I look around. I get my food and leave. However I was missing my avocado, so I called to make sure they had it, they did. Omar apologized and I swing back by to get it. Soon as I pull up he runs to bring me my avocado. I'm not even upset due to his excellent customer service. Have you ever seen a picture of a food you want and order it and it looks NOTHING like what you see....Well that was NOT the case here. OMG the fish looked exactly like the photo and it was cooked just right. Flaky and full of flavor and it comes with a green sauce and a red sauce ( red is super spicy ) the sauce was not needed for the fish but I did try it and it gave it an extra flavor that I really enjoyed. Rice and beans and pico were fresh and tasty as well. I would recommend the food here, will return to try other things on the menu!! Friendly, clean...

*FOOD POISING from this place. I ordered two beef tortas from this place. One for my mom and one for myself. This was my only thing we had for dinner. We were feeling fine the entire day.

I got sick an hour later from eating this torta. I believe the beef meat is contaminated or probably handled improperly. I spent all night vomiting. I went to the doctor and confirmed it was food poising. My mom had to go to ER because it was so severe. I wish this people will handle their food more properly . You owe us hospital bills.YOU CAN GET PEOPLE SICK WiTH YOuR Food!

This is the second time I had issues with their food. Last month we ordered tamales. They tasted awful. I don’t how long they keep the tamales frozen. We did throw those tamales away. We decided to give them a second chance but we ended up sick with the tortas. We regret it!!!

I hope someone views this review so they don’t get sick like we did. Just for the record I usually don't write reviews. But this was so awful made me sick and my mom. I HAD TO WRITE THIS REVIEW FOR...

I am a truck driver , I recently stayed at the super 8 hotel right around the corner from this place ( the hotel was clean and very modern , I loved it by the way ) . I called them as they do delivery , how awesome , I ordered a shredded beef quesadilla , it came with shredded lettuce , sour cream , refried beans covered with melted cheese , and rice . I wasn't expecting much out of this place , but they blew up my expectations , this food is awesome , they give huge portions , and everything was fresh and super tasty . I am a foodie and really picky and critical about food I eat . I would eat here again for sure and highly recommend you give it a try , you won't be disappointed . My company has a dedicated stop around that area , so now I have a new favorite spot . Great service too , the guy who took my order on the phone was nice and helpful , the delivery dude was really cool as well . The prices are very fair for the amount of food you get .
