I recently stayed here for two days and the motel does not look as nice as the pictures. The rooms are not cleaned well and they seemed to be under-staffed. There were no fitted sheets on the beds, but two regular sheets- one used to lay on and it wasn’t even tucked. On the second day, I was not able to get into my room. For some reason, my card was only set for a one night stay. The front desk fixed it and apologized. I realized that I had coughed the whole first night. My daughter also had a random nosebleed in her sleep. I looked around the room the next morning, and as I assumed, there was black mold or mildew on the air conditioner vents!! I knew that I was coughing for a reason. My daughter and I both had allergic reactions to the air that was being blown out throughout our room. I took pictures and showed them to the front desk worker. She apologized and offered to give me another room because there was no one on site to clean it at that time. I had to walk to the other building to check out the air conditioner and it was also filthy, not as bad, but definitely not clean. I took pictures of that as well. She then gave me another room to go check- it also had spots of mold or mildew but it was cleaner than the others. We changed rooms but I continued to cough. I had to go to Walmart for allergy medicine and Clorox wipes. I cleaned the vents and had a little relief from the medicine, but not complete. At this point, we had inhaled the toxic air for hours. Also, the room was not cleaned well. There was hair on the bathtub and th me floor wasn’t very clean. There were also 2 sheets, no fitted, in the second room. At checkout, the lady (I’m assuming owner) informed me that she was aware of what happens and it wasn’t mold but air freshener. Anyone in their right mind could see that it was not from air freshener. It’s probably in the floors and bathrooms as well. Wyndham should be ashamed to have its name on a property of this caliber. It needs to be cleaned and updated. I will never stay here again nor would I recommend...
Read morePros: The room was clean and it's in walking distance to a few restaurants. The staff is friendly. The area seemed safe and there is a pool. Cons: I hate when staff blurt out your room number when strangers are behind/around. I value my privacy and safety. The room was overpriced. I don't think it's worth over $100/night. Maybe because of the holiday weekend it was so high. Immediately walking into the room, I could tell the floor was uneven. When the door is closed, it's not flushed to the door frame. You can tell the unevenness as you can see the sunlight shining inside between the gap of the door, frame and floor. If someone was outside the door, laying on the stomach looking in, I believe they can literally see you walking around. It's a safety/peeping -Tom issue. There were cigarette burns on one of the top comforter sheets. There is a damp mildew smell when you first turn on the AC. Other than that, it works well and It keeps the room cool. It only smells weird when you are right in front of it. Bathroom had some cracks on the wall. Without being deliberately loud, you could hear your neighbors in the next room. Found out they don't really offer breakfast. Just coffee/tea and a granola bar. One of the staff told me ever since COVID they stopped but will continue with breakfast in August. Overall you can tell it's an old room but they updated it the best they could. I would consider staying there again if it's half price and I'm back in the city/area. It's not bad, but it wasn't great and it was definitely overpriced. See all photos attached/included. You might have a better or worse experience. This was just mine, in that particular room, at that...
Read moreCheck in was very disappointing. I wasn't acknowledged as a member and the guy was either on a call or watching a video that I seemed to interrupt him from, because I could still hear voices/audio while he checked us in. We discovered we had booked smoking rather than non-smoking and when asked about it, I explained I didn't realize it was smoking but if that's what I booked then that is fine. He offered to switch it to non-smoking which I really appreciated. He then went on to say that next time I need to pay attention to what I book and not wait until the last minute to change it. I felt like this was rude when he offered to change it after I already said we are fine with the smoking if that is what I did. After I signed everything he then gave me our key and flat out asked for a tip. I was shocked that he straight up asked for one so I asked him to repeat what he said. He again asked where his tip was and when I looked at him confused he stated "you know, a tip? You don't have cash?" I did give him some money, since he did switch our rooms but really didn't appreciate feeling like I was being forced to do that before he would give us the key. Then when we got to our room, there were holes in the top blankets and the sheets were all stained. Our fridge door was broke and didn't shut all the way, so our food we had placed inside spoiled. We have stayed at other Super 8s and never had service or experience like this. Highly disappointed and will not be...
