Looking for a healthy, yet fast and afordable meal?
Those veggies you bought and forgot about a week or so ago are mocking you in your fridge?
Wanting to eat better and have 0 time/energy/desire to buy the ingredients, wash and prep them, put them together, make/buy dressing, finally get to eat, then have to deal with cleaning up?
Tired of the same-old salad and wanting to spice things up at home/work/your car?
Are you exhausted from a long day of peopling, car-pooling, school pick-up/drop-off lines, shuttling to/from extracurricular activities, appointments, etc. and still have to do that whole feed people thing (including yourself)?
Then look no further than Salad and Go! Seriously, they got you boo-boo!
You don't even have to get out of your vehicle! You just pull up in the drive-thru, speak your order to the team member through the speaker box, then wait your turn to pick it up at the window. And just like that, boom! Meal handled and you can check another box of your to-do list (you know you want to)!
The team has always been fantastic, and patient when my kids or partners take a hot minute to decide what they want. The ingredients have always been fresh, well prepared and flavorful. The portions are generous and more often than not, I end up splitting a salad with someone else because I simply can't eat it all.
My absolute favorite item on their menu is the roasted autumn salad. Their limited time good greens salad coming in a very close 2nd. The dressings are freshly made and robustly flavorful.
For the first time in my life, it is cheaper to eat healthy than junk food. I mean, seriously, have you checked the prices on big chain burger joints? This amazing salad cost LESS than the #1 combo at the golden arches place!
The salad comes packaged in a clear and orange container that I use to shake my salad once I add the dressing. When I'm done eating I just rinse my container...
Read moreSalad and Go is not really a dining facility, it’s a place to pick up your food either by a Drive In order or the ever evolving phone applications. The structure looks very similar to the old style Jack in the Box burger place of the 1970’s. You know, just a brightly painted box type building. They have a good selection of salads, wraps and drinks. Light foods that don’t weigh you down and leave you not feeling so guilty afterwards. Their wraps are a pretty good size, which I guess at $8.00 makes sense. I like the Roasted Autumn Wrap and my wife liked the Greek Wrap. The Barbecue Ranch Salad was also very grubbable. I’ve tried most of their drinks and I think they are largely overpriced at $1.30 because they seemed overly watered down and “ice heavy”, making for a lacking refreshment. I’ve used the phone app’s several times - it is a little confusing because some items require you to pick certain ingredients, so their is a cyber learning curve. Another thing is the pick up time frame…every time I’ve used my phone app to preorder, I have it set so that I pull into the Salad and Go at 5:30pm, but when I get to the window they tell me it will be a few minutes. Like 5 to 10 minutes. If I have to wait that long, why use the phone app? Just pull in the Drive Through and order, that’s been about 5 to 10 minutes by my count. Why? Because management doesn’t want long lines at the Drive Through. If people see long lines there, they will go somewhere else so management emphasizes expediency at the Drive In over the phone application call ins. You won’t regret giving this...
Read moreThis location is stingy on salad proportions and will substitute a cheaper salad base without telling you. Their tomatoes are consistently rotten, as well. Their breakfast burritos are a terrible mixture of cold, odd, finely crumbled "sausage" (if you say so...), too much tortilla (bad quality imo), and hot bits of about about one egg randomly spread around. Most bites are of the dusty, crumbly "sausage", which, GAG. The salsas they give for the burritos were rotten the 3x I gave them a chance. Icing on the cake: the employees leave before the restaurant is supposed to close. Other locations are better (for salad only; avoid the burritos like the plague).
Edit 12/21/24: The last few times I and my daughter came, the salads were still stingy proportion-wise compared to other locations. I went today and asked that they ensure that the salad base is not halved as it has been recently. The base for my greek salad was decent, but my daughter's Caesar salad was still low. Additionally, they put RIBMEAT on the salad instead of the normal chicken they use. This fake meat was an almost translucent pink and tasted so off. I took all of mine off of my salad. My daughter didn't mind the taste but now she's lying down and feeling nauseous. The Greek dressing tasted weird as well, watered down and bitter. We will not be back to this location. Something weird is...
