We booked a 2hr birthday party for my granddaughter. We chose a weekday for a couple reasons. 1. There's a weekday special for extra pizzas. 2.The place would be less crowded. And most importantly her birthday was on that day. Let's start off with saying the staff was polite, unfortunately we soon discovered how unorganized, unprofessional, and understaffed this particular facility was. We received a party associate for birthday party. Who was new and had no idea how to help facilitate the party smoothly. I arrived early to check on the set up of the party table. Before the party members arrived the party organizer asked me what ice cream flavors would the children like to have, I told her I don't know they're not here yet to ask. So she gave me a sheet of paper to write the information on. Then proceeded to ask what time I wanted the pizza for the kids on the table , once again I don't know because they're not here yet. I'm early. But they had already scheduled the time for Chucke to do his birthday appearance for the birthday party. No one told us that Chucke was going to dance and sing "Happy birthday to you" in the middle of the dance floor 25 feet or more away from the birthday table. Then Chucke asked the birthday child to blow out the candles. "Huh, how? Chucke the cake is on the table" and the children are on the dance floor with you. Made no sense. One of the 2hr timed game bands stopped working within 30 minutes before they would fix the broken one. We're required to take all of the purchased bands off all the party members and bring them to the staff. We paid extra for salad bar dishes. The salad bar had no lettuce and bare minimum fixing for over an hour and half. Staff told us they would fix the salad bar but we had to wait until they cooked all the pizzas for all the in store customers. Our paid party members had to wait on the non-party customers to be served even though our party was in the building before the other customers. No one informed us that The restaurant was in the midst of construction. With only one bathroom with one toilet available to be shared amongst all customers both male and female. They did have a young staff member sitting close to the restroom as a monitor, making sure only one person or family went in at a time. What they failed to realize is that young children wait until the last moment to inform someone they need to use the bathroom and then they are forced to hold it until their place in line was up to use the facility. I paid for the ticket blaster for the birthday child. The staff gave the birthday childs and other childrens extra tickets to a random person instead of the person that paid for it all. If I didn't ask about it this could have went very poorly thank goodness he was an invited guest. There's more than that happened that made this birthday party a disaster. But those are the finer points. When I went to the general manager about the poor atmosphere of this situation he became very defensive instead of addressing the situation with an apology. I had to be the one reassure him instead of the other way around. What I will say is that the children all between the ages of 2yrs and 8yrs old didn't know of the dysfunction or disorganization. They're children. So they had fun regardless. The adults were fully aware. And very disappointed. In the end the general manager did give us a substantial discount on the final cost. The fact the children enjoyed themselves and the discount is the reason for the 2 stars. I suggest anyone planning a party to ask about the service that will be provided, any construction in the building, the food ready on time, and the...
Read moreI was there for a birthday party, and was really excited to give my daughter (now 4) this Chuckee cheese birthday experience after allot of COVID restrictions.
My daughter had a good time, and still talks about her experience (with playing games with her friends) which is great! I just wish the staff would be a little more happy, and joyful to be there doing what they are paid to be doing.
I understand it's probably not what a highschool student wants to do on a Saturday afternoon, but then you're in the wrong position. These kids come in, they are so excited, so pumped, and some (not all) the staff act like they are at a dentist appointment getting a tooth pulled! Enjoy your life. If it's not being able to make kids smile, then find a job you can play on your phone, while eating pizza.... Good luck! For the staff that were there doing their job, I appreciate you, keep up the good work, you're going places! This too will be an experience you can look back on and you will have learned from.
The Check In for kids, the kids are supposed to be stamped. The girl didn't even ask for my hand nor my daughter's, she just tried to run a stamp over her fingers, (yes her fingers) so when I stood at the door to check out, they didn't bother to even check the numbers, I waited and waited until someone asked if I needed help. I mentioned the sign that says "wait here to be checked out", they used a black light to read the numbers, obviously they couldn't read any of the numbers nor did they try. This is a safety check point, it is in place as a safety net, for a reason, if you're not going to follow through with it, than why go through the motions?! Seriously!
You have a job, you're making money, you're eating, you're getting your breaks to play on your phone, now go do your job, or find...
Read moreIt had been a while since I'd been in a Chuck-E-Cheese, was there for grandsons B-day. I was happy to see they still do a child safety thing at the door and when leaving, you now take a selfie with the child that you show when you leave, no more wristbands or handstamps.
Games: They no longer do tokens for games, you now get a card that's swiped, you can pay by the hour or you can still buy tokens that are put onto the card. Games were ok, most were working and the place was clean and all. The tickets are now also stored on the same card,, which is redeemed at the prize counter to get your plastic army man or superball lol, that part hasn't changed. Games seem geared towards a younger set, which is expected, they still have skeeball for the adults, so all good.
Food: A pleasant surprise was the pizza itself, I remember their pizza being just ok, but they must have changed their recipe since it was darn good. Unfortunately they no longer sell breadsticks, which I remember as being some of the best around. Drinks are self serve. Food was just a tad pricey for what you get, but your paying for more than just the food, the fun child-centric environment and the safety at the door are well worth a little extra when buying a pizza.
The place was clean and well run, parking lot is shared with a mall with lots of room for bigger vehicles and even RV's. Overall, if you have little kids to feed and entertain, it's hard to beat...
