This place came highly recommended to us by a couple of different friends. We were looking for another place for good lobster. At the time, we were patrons of Porters and loved it, but had wanted to try this place. ( Porters has now closed their doors for good. Retired. ) They did not disappoint!! Everything was great! Loved the atmosphere quaint kind of New York style comfortable and super sincerely friendly staff all around! The food is excellent!! We had Frensh Onion Soup, Potatoes augraton, and Lobster excellent and HUGE!! I could hardly finish it, and I had to bring the potatoes home! The bread was excellent too! I put a little lemon on it, oh soooo good!! The whole meal!! Add that we drove the back way from Eagle Point to getcthere on an absolutely beautiful day,... It's just incredible. I highly recommend it! I can't wait to go back!! It is a bit pricey if you go for the lobster, but lobster always is. 🦞 You have to let them know you would like lobster at the time of your reservation. ( sorry about the duplicate photos, something is up with Google 😬 )

Update** this place is still as good as ever, and FRANK! Is absolutely wonderful. Truly made our dining experience outstanding. Such a wonderful person. First off, I would like to start with praising our wonderful server, Janet! She really made sure we had everything we needed and gave wonderful recommendations all with the kindest smile. The kind of gal you visit a place and look forward to seeing. The food was also INCREDIBLE! Every single person loved their dish and had zero complaints. Even the salmon, my grandfather was very impressed. We so much look forward to visiting this place again and highly reccomend visiting. Do be sure to make a reservation! Here's our order. Halibut with a hollandaise sauce and crab with risotto. Stuffed prawns with lobster sauce. Ribeye steak with scalloped potatoes. Salmon with risotto. Jambalaya. Soup. Beer cheese and French onion soup. Side salads as well. 100% reccomend everything and our neighboring table reccomended the beef wellington and the pork chop which was ginormous!

We’ve had some really good food in the valley, this was not one of those times. Bland food, menu items not allergy-friendly. It’s pretty sad…our friends, regulars who normally love it, were even disappointed. The salad had iceberg lettuce (!), one cherry tomato, one cucumber slice, and no dressing. The salmon tasted like it was boiled and the asparagus was overcooked & dry. The service was mediocre, the setting dated, and the location just okay. The one good thing I can say is that they have heavy pours. 🍷 No flexibility on timing, substitutions, or drinks at the bar. Honestly, kind of a waste of time. For $80 per person stick to Medford, Jacksonville and Ashland.

This is literally one of the only local places that serves Beef Wellington!

From the moment we stepped into the door until we left it was a fantastic experience. We were seated immediately, our waitress came over right away and was so friendly and sweet, I wanted a Moscato type drink and she recommended a really fabulous one. We knew even before coming in that we wanted the Beef Wellington, and since it was our anniversary we splurged and got 2 of the appetizers - their stuffed mushrooms were big and stuffed! The crab they used was real, and our wonderful server brought us some bread to dip in the butter sauce that the mushrooms were in (which was so perfect). We both tried the soup of the day which was a tomato bisque with a mix of veggies in it and I was not disappointed. You could tell this wasn't from a can. It was thought out since every vegetable that had been added paired quite well with the bisque. With our Wellington's I went with the risotto, and my partner went with the scalloped potatoes, you could absolutely tell the scalloped potatoes were "home made" and not the kraft box because the potatoes were nice and this and packed full of flavor. The portions were huge and we were happily able to take home left overs which reheated well for lunch the next day. The only thing I wish they had added for the main was a vegetable of some kind, like a vegetable mix or something to make it slightly more "well rounded", otherwise there are absolutely no complaints.

Did I mention the cheesecake?? New York Style with a raspberry sauce on top was a delectable balance between the richness of the cheesecake and the tartness of the sauce.

It may not have been a $200 Beef Wellington from Chef Ramsey, but I absolutely would give this warm and cozy restaurant a 10/10 and absolutely...

Have been here at least 5 or 6 times in the past in which we were very happy. We went recently for our 28th wedding anniversary and WOW! What a difference in service. There "special" was porter house steak which my husband has never had. He ordered it med-rare. I had the new york for $19.99, also med-rare. We weren't given any bread or olives (which they normally do), and our waitress was nearly non existent. The only other thing we ordered was a glass of (cheap wine) each. When presented with our order, the waitress set it down and left. She NEVER came back to see if our steaks were to our liking or not. My husbands steak was extremely rare, fatty & just nasty. Not a good place apparently to have your first porterhouse. My new york looked like it was from Sizzler....1/4 inch thick and well done. I DO understand that most likely they were trying to have them both done at the same time. BAD idea. Also, I might add that this was a Saturday and they were VERY busy. We ate around the edges, and basically put it in a literal "doggy bag". One of the owners approached us & my husband said that it was rather disappointing. We had paid our bill, tipped (generously, as the food wasn't her fault), and he started to almost yell at us! He said we should have flagged him down, as our waitress was busy! We are not aggressive people and he is probably correct that it should have been returned "RIGHT AWAY"! However, his yelling disturbed patrons around us and it was TIME TO LEAVE! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! It was only a statement to let them know it wasn't up to their usual. PS. I wanted to mention that our bill was $78! WOW!! That fatty porterhouse...

I really hate to say this a good friend had a birthday I wanted to take him out for a really good steak and mashed potatoes he's that kind of guy. I researched different places to have steak and apparently this was supposed to be a melt in your mouth experience. We decided on sharing the special which was halibut. And also ordered ribeye steak dinner mashed potatoes. The halibut would have been excellent had it had not been overcooked. No flavor. The steak was very thin I did only order the 8 oz but it shouldn't have looked like an old piece of shoe leather. The whole reason I was there it was to give this man a good steak dinner with mashed potatoes. When he said to me , "Did they cook the steak in the microwave ?" I felt like an ostrich looking for a hole to stick my head in I was so embarrassed. Another comment was made by him and I kind of agreed and was wondering the same thing. We both had garlic mashed potatoes but they were like grayish Brown and tasted like old potatoes. I will say my waitress was great nice lady the food honestly was very mediocre and I was just disappointed. I can honestly say that I won't be back and I won't recommend it to anyone. And it really makes me sad to have to say that but it's the truth. Maybe it was an off day maybe that was the last ribeye in the house thin flavorless. I really love the salad dressing and they made a pretty good lemon drop. So...
