We arrived at 8:15pm on a Wednesday. I really wish we could have had dinner like we planned on, but the tall male waiter (the bill said his name was Matt) told me I couldn’t have chicken instead of turkey on a wrap without even asking the kitchen. I can’t eat turkey, and I have a food allergy, so after he walked away I reviewed the menu again and realized I would need at least one modification on a dish, so unfortunately that meant I couldn’t eat. He said it was because they were busy, but there were 3 open tables and 7 open bar stools, but what really disappointed me is that we’ve been here before when it was completely packed and the accommodation was never a problem. I said it bothered me that he wouldn’t even ask the kitchen, to which he rudely asked if I wanted him to go ask (of course I did, why wouldn’t he?) but at this point I was taken aback and no longer trusted that my food would be safe, so I just said no. We had to stay so my husband could finish the beer he paid for, but Matt never said another word to us, other than a snappy “thanks for coming out.” What a bummer, we used to like this restaurant, but now we won’t go back. I understand that accommodations aren’t always possible, but it was the fact he wouldn’t even check with the kitchen. He could have even attempted to make it look like he had customer service skills by going in the kitchen and coming right back out, but he didn’t even try. If you have allergies, intolerances, or just want good customer service, do not go here if...
Read moreIn the area for a work confrence. Luckily, we stopped by Heights Pub and were blown away with the place. The bartender Heather took care of us right away and never left us waiting for service for refills or food. The food is amazing, and the spinach & artichoke wontons are a must try!! Such a great idea! I also had the smash burger with sweet potato fries that hit the spot. Sam did an amazing job in the kitchen, and the owner, Bryan (spelled the right way), was super friendly and checked in on everyone there. This is a true Wisconsin proud pub where you can find amazing food and friendly service. I highly recommend you give them a try!!! Oh, and the Huckleberry Margarita was also awesome!
Update 4/3 - Came back for lunch today. The regular french fries are freaking amazing. Boneless wings & mozzarella sticks are also fantastic. Ashley was very attentive and...
Read moreWent today for lunch with family. We were served by two different people. Our waitress was great, the male waiter on the other hand not so much. When taking our drink order my Dad, my husband and myself all wanted water, he walked away before my daughter could place her order and brought her water too even though she would have ordered something else. My Dad ordered onion rings with his food and received waffle fries. Our sandwhiches were all great, but our waffle fries were not hot at all. I realized after awhile that I remembered that male waiter from some bad service I received at The Depot about a year ago. His skills have not improved. I would give the place another chance in the future....
