0 stars! Today, Sunday August 27, 2023 at approximately 4:18pm, my family and I arrived at the Wendy’s located at 6242 Greenbelt Rd, Greenbelt, MD 20770. I ordered a $5 biggie bag with a double stack sandwich, medium fruit punch, large fry, 2 additional 4pc nuggets and 2 additional medium fries. We paid and were instructed to pull up, park in front of the restaurant door and wait for someone to bring out our food. As we waited for our food, I noticed an employee standing at my window. I rolled the window down and he proceeded to hand me my food. I’m not sure if he is nonverbal on a regular basis but there was absolutely no communication during this entire exchange. Not even, a simple “have a nice day”. Before pulling off, I checked our order to ensure we weren’t missing anything. At that moment is when I noticed what should have been a 4pc was actually a 3pc nugget. Another car pulled in front of me so I waited for the employee to come back outside with their food so that I could notify him of our missing nugget. I rolled my window down and politely mentioned that we were missing a nugget from one of our entrees. He never once made eye contact with me, or even acknowledged what I said before proceeding back into the building. We waited about 7 minutes as we watched him run back in forth between orders. It became clear that he had no intention of addressing our issue. So my husband volunteered to go inside and mention it to a cashier and purchase 3 bottles of water. When my husband returned to the car, he explained the woman at the cash register, who we assume to be a manager, was very nasty. She was a short, black, African American woman (I am black too, so this ain't THAT) with a bun. She began to challenge my husband as if he were lying about us missing the nugget. She interrupted him and claimed he wasn't listening, when in reality, if she had allowed him to speak without interruption, she would have understood the situation. After going back in forth for about 3 minutes, she finally gave him a fresh 4pc nugget and we left. I typically don't write (negative) reviews, especially not for fast food establishments, where customer service can often be subpar. However, experiencing two negative encounters within a span of 10 minutes prompted me to share this experience. To both the nonverbal young man and cashier who defended the missing nugget as if her life depended on it, I recommend searching for new employment. Numerous local warehouses are hiring, which could offer you roles without direct public...
Read moreJesus christ. This is THIRD time it has been an absolute mess. Was inside for 40 minutes waiting on someone..ANYONE to fix an order that was prepared and ready on the screen but somehow not there anymore. The line was soo long with people crowded around the line waiting on their order and wondering why 8..10..15 minutes was going by without ANY communication. Thr atmosphere was getting hostile due to no sort of updates. The employees don't work together. The man at the front is slow and nonchalant..the heavy set woman bagging food was responding "I don't know" when asked if everything was In the bag. Had an attitude but was doing everything wrong. Wrong toppings..wrong type of nuggets. The receipt helped her not one bit. Thr manager NEVER came out..never acknowledged anyone..never apologized to the pile of costumers or simmered everyone down. He just didn't care. Their was ONE employee. A younger black male who I assumed was also working the window due to him having a baklava on and occasional handing bags through the door to keep the line moving. He went out his way to help me and a few of the other customers. Even announced an apology and told everyone things were slow. This location often has issues. And has a. Reputation of hiring ppl who do not care about how they look or make the store look. But thr worst part is the MANAGER clearly not caring or showing up or fixing a thing. I don't do long negative reviews but being there with my kids while some had food and some didn't for over 38 minutes as they kept asking "what was your order again" but didn't make it. . .really upset my oldest daughter. One woman had to fix her burger and tried to tell her she never asked for a topping and the RECEIPT had it on there. YUCK. I kept my composure inside..but this review with be Posted. Do better.
I'd rather drive down the stret to the...
Read moreI found a hair in my Dave’s Single. It was on the meat patty. I went to the cashier register and told an employee about it. He got the manager who was 2 feet away from him to deal with me. “What’s the problem” he says to me. “Excuse me sir but I found a hair on my burger.” “Show me.” He says. I point to it. “Where? Show me.” …. Okay… so I pulled it out with my nails. It was a short black straight hair. He told me it was part of the lettuce and that sometimes lettuce comes stringy. I understand because I work at a restaurant myself. But I know it wasn’t part of the lettuce. Plus, again, it was in the meat patty. He took the hair from me and it broke in half. And the piece I held fell because I was handing it to him. To convince me it wasn’t a hair, he showed me the lady who prepped my burger. Yes, she was wearing a hair net. Yes underneath that hair net, she has type c curly hair. But it didn’t matter because I know it wasn’t those strings you sometimes get from vegetables. It was hair. Because I didn’t look convinced , he says to me with an attitude “ what do you want then?” … “what do you want us to do!?” I would’ve asked for a refund but I didn’t want to go through all that hassle with the credit card + there was customers in line. Definitely not going to ask for another burger. So I just said “whatever” and left and cut the piece off with a knife where I found the hair. I would’ve been alright if he just had a better customer service attitude. but I get it. I’d be mad too if I was understaffed, underpaid, and overweight...
