Jake's Diner — Restaurant in Greensboro

There are several things wrong with this location- For starter the phone hardly ever works I've tried to place 2 orders this week and no one answer; so finally I just had to go in person and wait. Who has time to wait on food before going to work. Second they have 2 waitresses (burnettes) that have very nasty attitudes. We all know your staff can make or break your business. This is not the first time they have been rude to me. But I certainly can ay this will be the last time simply because I do not plan to visit this location again. So I place an order this morning after looking at the menu online I already knew what the prices would be and I felt like I was over charged. So I asked for an itemized receipt waitress #1 said the manager took your order and he will have to print it; waitress #2 said the reason your order is higher than expected is because you order hashbrowns and I said no I didn't and he was suppose to take that charge off. After looking farther their prices didn't match the online menu. I showed waitress #2 the menu I had she said that was wrong and that I needed to go to the website for correct prices. I suggested they have old menus removed from online. Simply because if a consumer sees an advertised price the company should honor it. Of course not here they don't. Well I decided to speak with the manager of course I couldn't understand him (he was Mexican) so I ended up hanging up on him. Since waitress #2 suggested I go to the website for prices, once I got to work I decided to check out the website and I was going to submit this review but of course the website is down.... Hey waitress #2 how do you expect customers to go online to Jake's website for prices if the site is down. Going forward I will not order from this location again and I will inform everyone that I speak with about the awful customer service at this location. I do visit the Holden Rd location a few times and I've never had a problem.......

Started going there about twice a week. In town for work. First couple times it was a decent experience. Service was standard and food is good and well priced. The last 2 times i went were horrible. Waited 20 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. Finally took our order. Once it was up in the window i saw it sit there for at least 15 more minutes before it was brought to us. Ate. Food was still good. Did not bring full order. At this point i was too irritated so i asked for the check. Waited another 10-15min before i just walked up to the counter to pay. It mind you it wasnt busy. Went back a cpl days later thinking that was a fluke. This time the place is packed. Security asks how many in our party since its so crowded and they were regulating plus he mentioned they were short staffed. Decided we arent in a rush so we'll go on and sit. Ordered fairly quicky. The 2 ppl beside us ordered at the same time from the same waitress. We all ordered wings. About 15min later the other 2 get their wings. As expected they were there before us. 5 min later other ppl we work with come in and sit. They order. 15min later their food comes out. 2 more ppl sit beside us. Order wings. 10min later their foods comes out. Its been over 30min and ive seen about 3 dozen wings get ordered and come out while we are still waiting. All from same waitress. I know it was busy but how can you explain all these orders coming out WELL after we ordered. These ppl all ate, paid and left before our food even came out. Its BS. I was about to walk out but its hard for me to be ignorant. And to top it off ive been going there at least 2 times a week and i tip over 20% everytime. Its seems as though unless they know u there youre last in the list for service. I will definitely...

My experience at Jake’s diner on drawbridge was great until this past Saturday when a manager (Diamond) the black girl with the rat tail was extremely unprofessional and very rude to me In front of customers I’m guessing she had a run in with a certain customer that also said she was very unprofessional and rude, it was my 4th day of training and I feel I was set up for failure Diamond is the manager at this location but she didn’t train me at all when I came in that morning I was shadowing her and then she told me I needed to take out orders and pull food I’ve never been trained for this position she told me I had to write orders down which was fine but it was her attitude that got me like I said very unprofessional! I got a text yesterday morning basically saying I was fired with no reason at all Diamond did make a comment saying she had someone she was about to hire so I just feel I wasn’t given a fair chance at all working at Jake’s. I’ve tried contacting the owner and I have multiple texts of her saying she was going to call me later yesterday then she said she was going to call me earlier this morning I’ve heard nothing and no one has tried hearing my side at all. I just wrote a review but it was deleted. I’ll never respect this place or the people I was done wrong and at this point of having no explanation and not even a fix to this situation or helping at all I’ll never recommend anyone to come to this restaurant the servers except for a select few are very messy they talk about the customers and inappropriate things kinda loud. I’ve tried getting some kind of explanation but I get nothing I was treated unfair and was disrespected and cursed at! Thanks and have a blessed day hopefully this review won’t get deleted...
