Hey there, fellow ice cream lovers! I'm here to tell you about my experience at Cold Stone Creamery on Woodruff Road, where I took my family for a sweet treat last weekend. Let me tell you, it was a blast!
First of all, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a smile and offered us samples of their delicious flavors. They also explained how their signature creations work: you choose your ice cream base, then add any mix-ins you want, and they blend it all together on a frozen stone. Sounds cool, right?
Well, it gets cooler. You can also create your own custom creation, or choose from their ready-made options. They have something for everyone: classic, adventurous, fruity, nutty, chocolaty, you name it. They even have some seasonal specials, like pumpkin pie and peppermint bark. Yum!
My wife went for the cake batter ice cream with brownies and fudge. My son picked the chocolate ice cream with Oreos and M&M's. My daughter chose the strawberry ice cream with gummy bears and sprinkles. And I, being the dad joke master that I am, ordered the vanilla ice cream with bacon and maple syrup. Hey, don't knock it till you try it!
We watched in awe as they prepared our creations, chopping, mixing, and scooping with skill and flair. They even sang a little song when we tipped them. How fun is that?
We took our ice cream to a table and dug in. Wow, was it good! The ice cream was rich and creamy, the mix-ins were fresh and tasty, and the portions were generous. We all enjoyed our choices, even mine. Trust me, bacon and ice cream go together like peanut butter and jelly. Don't believe me? Ask my wife, she stole a bite!
We had a great time at Cold Stone Creamery, and we'll definitely be back. It's a perfect place to go with your family, friends, or even by yourself. You'll find something you love, and have a lot of fun along the way. So, what are you waiting for? Go to Cold Stone Creamery on Woodruff Road today, and tell them that...
Read moreI always had good experience at this store except on this Thursday night. I went here to buy gift cards for my kid’s birthday party, asked cashier that I have to buy gift cards for my kid’s birthday party return gifts, 15 cards loaded with 10 dollars each to which she replied that she can issue maximum of 20 dollars gift cards only. I rechecked with her to confirm as I have seen people giving store bought gift cards as return gifts but she again mentioned that it’s our policy to give each person maximum of 20 dollars gift cards only from store and asked me to order online and collect e-gift cards instead. As she mentioned it’s a policy, I left without asking to talk with manager and purchased gift cards from nearby pizza store as birthday was on next day. After reaching home, I checked online about Cold Stone Creamery’s gift cards policy and it is clearly mentioned that gift cards can be purchased at store with the amount ranging from 3 dollars to 250 dollars. Not sure why she was insisting to give maximum 20 dollars gift cards only to a person. My kid really wanted to give his friends cold stone creamery gift cards but was denied of this joy and I had no answer to explain to him. I am putting this review so that Owner/Manager can check on this and no other family has to suffer. Date & Time of visit : 6th...
Read moreCold Stone is my favorite ice cream place, and usually the employees here are very nice, but this most recent visit makes me hesitant to return.
I had graduation today, and my family had some stuff to do before reconvening. We got to the store just before 10pm (they close at 10:30pm), and we figured it would be easier to place an online order. It ended up taking longer than expected (loud music and people, some confusion with online ordering, coordination), so we submitted the order at 10:15pm, with tip. Who I remember to be the manager (I could be wrong) then out loud started complaining, saying that she wasn't making it and we had all day to order. I don't think she knew we were right there.
As a server, I get it that it can be frustrating to get last minute orders, but with 15 minutes before close, and lots of customers walking in, even up to 5 minutes before close, our order is the one you wanted to loudly complain about in front of everyone? Kind of ruined the experience, after all I wanted was my favorite ice cream after a huge accomplishment. :(
Again, usually I would rate this place 5 stars, but as a sensitive person this kind of hurt my feelings and it'll linger in my mind every time I think about going. If you go in the middle of the day or something, I would...
