Visiting Greenville and looking for Halal food options
The restaurant was pretty empty.
Bartender/waitress was very pleasant and helpful
I ordered the mixed tandoori plate.
The food took forever to come out and when it arrived didn't look very appealing.
With a place called Habibas, I was expecting a very Mediterranean/middle Eastern food palate, but that's not what I received at all.
The carrots were overpowered by whatever spices they had on them, the meat kabob was overcooked and the side of veggies was not appealing at all.
The best part of the dish was the mashed potatoes. This is not something I thought I'd ever say at a middle Eastern restaurant.
Overall the place looks run down, not appealing to visitors from out of town.
Their hookah was very sub par as well. Taste was faint, pull was super heavy due to the amount of water in the base and the head lasted less than 30 minutes.
Really disappointed if this is the only experience the people of Greenville have of middle Eastern food.
If not for the only server at the restaurant being super nice, would have given this place 0 stars.

Read moreI had quite an interesting meal. The Arabic coffee came in the right size and type of cup but without the traditional dallah to pour it from, though it was prepared correctly. I ordered the kofta, which I was puzzled to see comes with the option of mashed potatoes or rice. I’ve eaten kofta many times but never with mashed potatoes 😂😂 The kofta was decent but under spiced, which I totally understand. Heavily spiced lamb is an acquired taste. The accompanying rice resembled what you would receive in an Afghan or Pakistani restaurant. It was almost biryani or pulao. It was accompanied by a serving of stewed turnips and carrots, again, Pakistani. The naan/pita bread was fresh and soft as it should be. Let’s tally our gustatorial tour:
Coffee: Arabian Levant Kofta- Arabian Levant Rice- Afghanistan/Pakistan Turnips-Pakistan Bread- Arabian Levant
All in all, an excellent effort. The Amr Diab music was a nice...
Read moreHad to edit my review in a major way. We have came here for a total of 3 years and I've never seen the food decline in quality as it has now. Service was subpar and my order was taken wrong and I was charged a 20 piece instead of the ten piece wing I ordered. I had the hottest beer on tap I ever had since drinking beer. And on top of everything my wife ordered a individual pizza that is her usual favorite and it was so burnt it looked like Ritz cracker with burnt cheese and chicken on it. I told them that I didn't want the pizza and was told by the owner that the pizza was fine, when I have met him before and never once has he accepted his food to be low quality. I paid for the burnt pizza and went on my way sorely disappointed. I guess I have to find another good spot for wings and Mediterranean cuisine. And FYI the prices were reasonable but have increased exponentially so I doubt...
