I have been eating Jersey Mike's subs for literally more than 30 years. I am always a fan of the Arlington Blvd. location. When I was a teenager I would get a sub every Saturday after a round of Frisbee golf with friends and was never disappointed. They know how to make exactly what I ask for and explain how it has to be charged because it's a specialty sub. I get the meats from 2 different subs put into 1 sandwich. I have also gotten the same sub at other Jersey Mike's locations without problems.
Unfortunately, this review is for the Firetower Road location. I used the app to order and pay for the same sub I have gotten for 30+ years. I also order the giant size because I'll eat half and save the other half for another meal. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told by the person at the register that because I had gotten the meats from 2 different sanwiches, that they cut the amount of each meat to 4 slices per meat, on a giant sub. When I asked why they had done that I was told that that's just how it was and that's how it had always been. No, it has not always been like that.
Whatever the amount is that would go on a normal sandwich is what goes on what I order. If I am paying for double the amount of something, I am paying for double the amount that should already be on it. I'm not paying extra for someone to cut it down and then tell me that what I have been getting for over 3 decades is wrong.
The only reason I'm even writing this review is because the guy that looked me in the eye and basically told me I'm an idiot wasn't even alive when I started ordering Jersey Mike's subs. Whomever the manager is or whomever is in charge of training needs to explain...
Read moreFull report- Haven't had the best day today and thought I would treat myself to something new. Walked in and greeted immediately by Brian, nice dude. Told him I never had Jersey Mike's before, he was patient and guided me through the menu. Treated me as if though I was a regular. Wanted something a little spicy and was suggested the #56. Check out was quick too. Waited maybe 3 minutes. Noticed that the staff was pretty busy yet attentive for the lunch rush. The lobby was clean and decorated well, it didn't feel like a bland cookie cutter restaurant. Definitely a comfortable place to sit down and eat at. Music played in the lobby was odd, but only because I liked it and didn't expect to hear it in a restaurant like that. Nice surprise. I tried the root beer and wasn't disappointed (I only drink rootbeer and water lol). Brian personally brought the sub to me which emphasized the quality of customer service (to me at least) considering there was a bit of a rush. The sub was great, filling, yet not overwhelming. Definitely coming back. Made my day just a bit better to have a pleasant experience with trying...
Read moreEmployees are not customer friendly at all. First time I've been in there so not familiar with what breads they have. When I asked what they have got an attitude. Didn't ask what I wanted on my hot sandwich just made it. On another sandwich asked for no cheese they put it on it. When I said no cheese again they just picked off with an attitude. There is 4 of us in our group got charged for 3 sandwiches and when Employee realized there was yet another sandwich he was like oh I didn't charge you for that one with a sense of we were being the inconvenience. So than had to make another transaction. And just to say this we where the only ones in there until 2 sandwiches where made than more customers came in and than they rushed us along. I know what it's like to be on that side of the...
