This place is AMAZING!!! The atmosphere is great and the servers were very friendly, polite and helpful with recommendations. I we ordered alot because we have been hearing alot of buzz on social media and they did NOT disappoint. Drink: 10 out of 10. I had the LI Iced tea and the sunset sangria. These are the best and strongest drinks in town, hands down! This is definitely the place for cocktails and girls night. The empanadas and tostones rellenos were delicious. There's a little salsa that came with them and my husband and I both loved them. It wasn't at all what we expected and it was a great pairing. For entrees we got the apricot-balsamic glazed pork chop and the skirt steak trifongo. I loved my pork chop. It was juicy and thick. My husband loved his trifongo. I was stuff but I love tres leches so I got an order of it to go. I will definitely be back alot and highly recommend this place. It would be great for ladies night out, first dates and date night for couples. Hurry here and give it a try because once word gets out it will be packed with long wait times.

Update: I've been back several times since opening. The menu has expanded and everything is still delicious with a beautiful presentation. The flight of margaritas is amazing!

Another update. I tried the Bandeja Paisa today! It is the most delicious thing I've eaten in a very long time! My server Jeff suggested some tweaks (a different type of rice and a sauce to pour over it and the egg) and they were absolutely divine! It is a must try. It's alot of food. I ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner...

What an amazing meal tonight at Latin Roots in Greenville, NC. You must come here to experience this. The lentil soup was a hug to the heart and stomach...so comforting. The Tostones Rellanos with braised steak...absolute flavor bombs. The tostone cups were crispy and warm. The steak was so very tender. The salsa was fresh, pleasantly acidic, herbaceous, and highly craveable. I had my heart set on the APRICOT-BALSAMIC GLAZED PORK CHOP I read about online. It absolutely did not disappoint. One of the best things I have ever eaten. The glaze is sweet with warm spices. The chop is cooked expertly (and that is not descriptive enough...there aren't words to adequtley do it justice). The mashed potatoes are scratch made...you can taste home in them and both were paired with a fresh, colorful melody of vegetables.

Our waitress, Mya, was very sweet, explained everything, and beyond pleasant to talk to. Also...you HAVE to talk to the manager, O'Neil...you will not have a more fun, warm, and friendly conversation with anyone else, anywhere. The best service and people in town.
