McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Greenville

Went there for a Thursday dinner around 6 pm. There were at least 10 people in line ahead of us but we decided to patiently wait to order food for to-go. Our order was taken in 6:32 pm and it consisted of 2 Savannah salads, Club Wrap, and Southwest Grilled Chicken. While ordering, we were told that they are out of guacamole and we can substitute it with another spread. We picked something and continued with our order. Behind us were another 5+ customers so we tried to order as fast as possible. After waiting more than 30 min to get our to-go order, all of the other customers were served but our food was not ready yet. In about 5 min, one of the employees comes up and tells us that they are out of the cheese they use for the salad and if we want something else instead. We told her to get us whatever because it has been forever since we ordered and we just want our food. Anyways, she went to ask for some cheese from the kitchen and at this time there were no other customers in line, which means that we had to get our cheese in less than a min. Wrong assumption! The girl was standing with her back to us for another 3-4 minutes and we still didn't have our cheese. Tired of waiting we just left with whatever was in the bag. When we got home, the sandwich was already cold and the spread that we ordered was missing. That was the worst experience that I ever had in a deli. Will never go back there again! Not only that the food was bad and we waited more than 1 hour for it, but nobody even apologized to us even once. This is more than...

I use to work here back in 2017. This restaurant unfortunately has gone downhill since. Walked in wasn’t greeted but they were ready to take my order (when I worked we always greeted especially if we were not busy) I ordered, got my drinks, walked over to the straw and napkin station which was an absolute wreck. I started walking around to find a table and half of them still had plates on them (this would happen if we were super busy) but there was only a few people sitting down eating. Maybe they had rush hour and never got around to cleaning afterwards, not sure. We found a fairly clean table to sit at, food came out quickly and it was hot. Me and my son ordered spuds and didn’t get nearly enough butter (1 small packet for each). Definitely ask for extra butter. My biggest disappointment was that my sandwich wasn’t made right, and I know this cause I worked here for a year and ordered it almost everyday. They forgot/didn’t put any bacon on my pepper jack turkey bacon sandwich. My son’s Mac n cheese was more watery than I remember. 6.8.25 Unfortunately, I have to change my rating for McAllister Deli. My husband and I have been eating lunch here after church on Sundays for quite some time. We come here instead of somewhere else for two reasons, 1. The food is fresh and delicious, 2. We can come in, sit down, and order our food from our table. Though the employees have generally not been overly friendly and service oriented, being able to order our food from our table by-passes any of the negative service encounters so we can just enjoy our food once it has been delivered. Wellllll ... today, we have been made aware they no longer offer table side ordering! When we asked why they made the changes, we were told that it was because of customer complaints that food wasn't being delivered fast enough when the order lines were backed up. Funny though, they still have to deliver your food to your table?? Highly unlikely story, in my opinion! With the overpriced meals and lack of service quality, we will not be coming back unless they offer table side ordering again. I hope this complaint will make it to someone who can make some smart...
