I came here late at night with a pregnancy craving and placed a carside pickup order through the McDonald’s app. The drive-thru was packed, so I figured carside would be quicker. About 10 minutes later, I got a notification and receipt saying my order had been picked up—but no one had come out.
We waited another 10 minutes. Now the drive-thru was completely empty, and still, no food. At this point, we had been waiting 25 minutes. We decided to drive around to the front, but a new rush of cars had just come through. So I went inside to check because something clearly went wrong.
When I walked in, the cashier saw me but didn’t say anything—he just walked around behind the counter, doing other things like making drinks. I stood there for 5 minutes with no acknowledgment. A woman in a collared shirt—who I later found out was the shift manager—stood by the fries the entire time, also ignoring me.
Finally, after a full 10 minutes of being ignored, the cashier came back to the front. I politely asked, “Can I please get some help?” He sighed loudly and said, “With what?” I explained that I had been waiting outside for my order for over 30 minutes. He replied, “What order?” I showed him the app, and without saying anything, he checked the screen and said, “We’re making it now. It didn’t come up on the screen.”
Now, I’ve worked at McDonald’s before, and I know that’s not how it works. Orders don’t just magically not show up on the screen. Someone either missed it or ignored it—period.
At that point, I asked to speak to a manager. He ignored me and walked off. I overheard him telling the others what was going on, and the shift manager started yelling at him, saying, “Nobody’s taking the orders out there. He said he’s not taking it out there…” The whole interaction was messy and unprofessional.
When he returned, I asked again to speak with a manager because I just wanted a refund at this point. He told me, “I can’t give you her name,” which was confusing because I never asked for it—I just wanted someone to help me. He said, “But we’re making your food now,” and I told him I’d rather have a refund because I’d been waiting over 40 minutes.
Then he tried to tell me he was the manager—which was clearly not true. Meanwhile, the actual shift manager, still standing by the fries, continued ignoring everything. I pointed at her and asked, “Are you the manager?” and she just looked at me like a deer in headlights and said nothing.
Finally, a different woman—a shorter Black lady—came up and said she was the manager. I explained what happened, and she offered to make the food for me right away. At that point, I was too upset and exhausted to deal with it anymore. I told her I needed to sit down, that I was pregnant and overwhelmed, and I sent my husband inside to finish it. She gave him the food at the door.
In the end, I didn’t care about the food or the refund anymore. I know McDonald’s doesn’t have a reputation for great service, and I honestly don’t go there often. This was just a one-time craving that turned into a total disaster. I walked away feeling stressed, angry, and completely let down.

Read moreOn Saturday, i had to worst experience ever at this establishment. I came in with my kids and my cousin, and we ordered at the same time. My cousin got his food (inside) in 15mins. When he got his i didn't think anything of it b/c i had 3 meals i was waiting on, until a guy said "Wow i been here 30mins waiting on a Happy Meal and a McFlurry" and he was with his daughter. The lady came out and gave us our drinks, and then said "Sorry everyone we had 4 people to call out so we are very short on staff right now" and as soon as she said that 3 customers walked out....
So i didn't stress about it too much, i just wanted to fellowship with my family and give my kids a little something to eat. I CAN'T Stand fast food but i was going to take the loss and please my children, since they requested it.
Time went by and I kept seeing the drive-thru move right along but people on the inside (including myself) were waiting. I looked down at my phone and saw i had been there for 45mins. So i got up and walked to the counter and asked the manager about my order. She said "Oh i can't find it, it didn't seem to come through or they must've clicked it off" i told her "Even if they clicked it off, you still have to click it off on your end to complete the order after you bag it...." -- i was a grill manager at McDonalds In DUNCAN so i know the procedure. I looked at my bank account and saw that the $30+++ had been taken out my account. So i took a pic of the number on the side of the counter and told my kids we were leaving.
Once in the car i asked my kids where they wanted to go and they said "since we are already here they wanted McDonalds still" so i had a come to Jesus moment with them letting them know to Never deal with a place that you have already paid and they do not fulfill your order correctly. But since i was going to a location for my time with the kids that was literally in the same parking lot almost, i got in drive-thru, ordered the same food, told the lady multiple times i already had drinks (got apple juice since it came with the meal). After waiting another 15mins. (in drive-thru) The lady remembered me from being inside and offered to give me free drinks, in which i responded. "Sorry, but no thank you, we had a drinks for a hour now and have had multiple refills" then she told me that one of the managers was fussing and cussing that morning and walked out on them.
Now i can sympathize with how Life happens, but to not have any regard to those who are on the inside is not good service. I ultimately speak $70 for 3 meals $35 for each, only to satisfy my children and be sure they were able to get what we had planned to get. I am working with my bank now to get my $35 back but that is what shouldve been offered to me at the window. Even the manager that was handling things up front didn't ask me to verify my order so she can do it correctly. So i will not be back there, and if my bank doesn't give my money back i will be back there to speak to someone....
Be Blessed, and i hope things get better, but i know if i do not say anything then someone higher up will not know anything and this will continue to happen...
Read moreI will not be going back to this location after the experience I just had, They had already messed up an order earlier this week (my cheeseburger meal was just a burger with ketchup and the patty only half on the hardened bun but I was like everyone has an off day I'll go back because my daughter wanted a happy meal. We get there and there's already a man standing up front with a totally messed up order again not thinking to much of it. I ho to order " a 4 piece kids meal and a mcchicken meal with no lettuce" the cashier proceeds to tell me "a mcchicken meal is not a thing" I say oh they took it off? That's what I always order and he says no no that's not a thing annoyed that I'm even speaking in his direction. He literally rings it up and my receipt prints saying "mcchicken meal" ..okay its whatever. Then I stand there for 35 minutes waiting on our order as people are just coming in and getting their orders myself and the gentleman with the messed up order from when I came in stand there and stand there finally he gets his food another few minutes and my number is called the girl throws our bags on the counter and in the middle of me saying "excuse me no one ever gave us our cups" she walks away. We stand there another 5 minutes waiting on someone to give us a cup. We go sit down and I open our food my daughter only has 2 chicken nuggets and my mcchicken has lettuce so I walk up to 2 employees standing in the dining room talking and say excuse me can one of you help me my order is wrong the one young man I was directly speaking to proceeded to laugh and say well I can't help you I'm off the clock so the second young man who was mopping took my food and 20 plus minutes go bye, we never got our food so we go back to the counter I stand there for 10 minutes being ignored when the boy who took our food to the back comes out and says how may I help you. I replied we never got our food he say are you kidding me that was a long time ago. And tells the cook I told you I needed a much I corn and a nugget. We finally got our food after being there for an hour and a half. This was suppose to me a nice time out for me and my 4 year old and it was...
