My wife and I (black couple) came in during the rain on Sunday to grab some hot honey. A very large man leaning on the counter (poor counter) talking to another employee, did not say anything or acknowledge us whatsoever. Then another couple (white couple came in) and he immediately addressed them and welcomed them to the store and thanked them for coming by. It's sad to see this type of mindset still taking place in Upstate area businesses. We are from Charleston and have never experienced this in our local store. For future reference, acknowledge all races when they come in and don't pick and choose based off of appearance of your personal preference. You never know if they are mystery shoppers for your company, or Chamber of Commerce members like ourselves that are testing and then reporting customer service experiences for your city. Greet everyone and don't lean on the counter. Every customer deserves a truly exceptional customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first visit to the Savannah Bee Company was while I was at the Fall for Greenville festival. Itās a nice and interesting place to visit. The people working are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have any and everything you can imagine to do with āthe beeā and honey. They also have Tupelo Honey. Many different kinds of honey and honey products. Chap sticks, raw honey combs, bakery items, frozen treats, lotions, drinks and tee shirts just to name a few of the things they have. My niece treated me to a cold drink of limeade sweetened with honey. The drink wasnāt overly sweet and it was so refreshing. Thereās a mead bar, a coffee bar with baked goods and several places to sample some of their products. The Tupelo honey with cheese and a raspberry was tasty too. Savannah Bee Company is a nice place to visit and spend some time. I plan on visiting...

One of my favorite shops to visit in downtown Greenville, the Savannah Bee Company is a one-stop honey shop. They stock dozens of honey flavors (from palmetto to lavender--based on what the bees harvested from) as well as honeycomb and other honey-related essentials. Flavor descriptors on the jars help you determine which honeys might suit your preferences. Best of all: You can try samples to find that perfect honey flavor for you! (I love pouring a bit into my green tea in the afternoon.)
When I last visited, I had the option of "adopting a bee" for a dollar, with proceeds going toward the cultivation of bees and educational outreach. Don't forget to end your visit with a donation to a...
