I wish the food and service matched the atmosphere. I found the expresso coffee bitter. I know some like that. The main issue was that it took nearly 30 minutes to get my heated spinach Parmesan quiche. Instead of a "we apologize for the wait", they said "we couldn't find you" even though I had a giant number sitting on my table the whole time. After 15 mins I asked about it, she said she'd bring it right out, but 15 more mins went by and nothing. I did see one gal with a to-go box walking around looking for the customer but I ordered dine in so didn't think it was mine and she never came to my table. It turns out it was mine. You can't eat it from the tall box with a flimsy Popsicle stick like fork though. It should have been on a plate with a real fork and knife. I had to eat the middle first so I could then pick it up and finish it. The flavor was very good, just hard to eat. Why didn't I ask for a plate and fork? Because I already felt like a nuisance given I'd gone up there twice already to check on my order. That's on me first...and on them for making me feel like I didn't want to be a pest. I may try it again since it could have been an isolated situation. It is a really lovely place to work from. Maybe I'll bring my...
Read moreSUPER cute new bakery with lunch and breakfast goodies in DTC. Initial impression was nice - I loved the design and ambiance. Ordered the chicken tarragon sandwich, hibiscus mint tea lemonade and a chocolate strawberry cupcake for dessert. Sandwich was delightful, cupcake was average (kind of fell apart when unwrapping it) and the hibiscus tea was refreshing. However, while ordering staff didn’t seemed prepared or trained very well. They didn’t know any pricing. Referred us to their website (which also had no pricing) Felt a little out of sorts and didn’t know what to do. We also had to wait 25 minutes for a deli-type sandwich (no cooking required) and they forgot my beverage until I went back up and asked for it. Overall it was nice though and I’ll be back to...
Read moreI’m a regular customer and often come to Bird Bakery for pastries and lunch, especially when ordering for clients. I’ve always loved the food and service, which is why I was so disappointed with my experience this morning.
I called to place a catering order and had some questions about gluten-free options and the flavors available this week. Unfortunately, the person I spoke with was extremely short with me and came across as unkind. I felt rushed and uncomfortable asking for details, which is not the experience I’m used to at Bird.
I’m sharing this feedback because I genuinely love supporting your business and would love to continue doing so, but I hope this can be addressed so future interactions are...
