Modern clean atmosphere, service is good (Chipotle style, where they build your poke/sushi burrito behind the glass for you while you choose your base, protein, and toppings) I tried build your own poke bowl with extra $$ for Masaho and avocado. Overall it was ok. I was pretty surprised by how small their scoop/spoon is for protein and any toppings (compared to other poke restaurants I've been). I got almost all the toppings but my bowl is still not that full. Like one scoop of corn is like 5 pieces. One scoop of pineapples/mandarine oranges is like 2-3 small pieces. The scoop (looks like a large ice cream scoop) of avocado on their marketing photo is very misleading as the scoop of avocado I actually got was like a table spoon size. But they give you a huge portion of rice.😆 🤣 😂 If you are hungry like me, I'd recommend the combo option that comes with miso soup (or kettle chips) and drink for $3.50 but your meal cost may exceed $20 😭 I hope they improve being more careful not spilling any ingredients when they are scooping. I understand how hard it could be with such a small serving spoons. But this could be a severe health risk when ingredients are mixed in for people with severe allergies. 🤔 I was also a bit surprised when my bowl included a small amount of topping I...
Read moreNot impressed and would not recommend it. A friend recommended this place to me and praised everything from the food, the employees, the cleanliness of the restaurant, EVERYTHING. I finally caved and ordered the regular Spicy Ahi with an Ube Latte, sounds simple enough right? Keep in mind, I wasn’t ordering during lunch rush; I ordered around 2:30. Not only did my order not get here until 3:10-ish but my bowl barely had any of the Sriracha Aioli flavor and a sad amount of rice as well as the boba pearls in my Ube Latte tasting starchy and had a nasty after taste (not sure if it was the drink itself or the boba pearls). After a couple messages with my Doordash Delivery guy, I found out he had to wait roughly 25 minutes for my order. Once he was able to get it, it took him all of 10 minutes to get it to me. As I’m writing this I am also looking through some of the other reviews posted and according to others your restaurant’s staff is not only slow and rude, but you have a habit of consistently getting orders wrong and not preparing food correctly? Is this a staff issue or should we consider this a management issue, whatever the case, I will not be ordering from here in the future and advise those who read this to...
Read moreHang on... My eyes are still watering from the "volcano sauce."
OK, that's better!
All I can say is WOW, now that's some really GREAT poke! In general, I eat poke frequently. I was down in Englewood at an appointment (I live in north Thornton) and had a poke craving, so I found this place.
The restaurant is light and bright and the employees are super friendly. The guy preparing my bowl let me taste the Volcano Sauce before fully committing. I'm glad I did. He recommended a half pump of sauce and I'm happy I heeded his advice because holy smokes, was that sauce spicy! And I am no wimp when it comes to hot foods. I couldn't imagine more than the half pump. Glad I listened.
The food is very fresh and very tasty. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here.
My only complaint is that there isn't one closer to me. So, I implore the owner of this franchise to please open a second location in Thornton. We are STARVING for some good, no GREAT, restaurants.
It's an untapped market for...
