I finally got a chance to try Chook, and I’m kind of wishing I hadn’t.

First, the food. We ordered a couple of the “bigger” salads and added shredded chicken. Unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the name or price tag. For $14, the portion size was disappointingly small, and the $4 shredded chicken addition was just a few strips, not enough to justify the cost. The salad itself was smaller than a regular size at Mad Greens, and the bacon in the chop salad had the consistency of grape nuts. The two pacific rolls we tried were also very dry. While the ingredients seemed to be of good quality and the food tasted good (sauces especially), the portions were underwhelming.

My experience ordering wasn’t the best either. When I arrived, someone else was ordering, so I checked out the menu on the wall. When I approached the counter to order, the gentleman working there was focused on his phone and facing away. It took a couple of minutes for him to acknowledge me, though he was pleasant once he did. I understand he might have been dealing with an online order or chatting with a customer, but it gave the impression he was preoccupied with a personal device. Chook might want to consider integrating online orders into their POS to avoid this perception.

On the positive side, the atmosphere was nice. However, based on my experience and the reviews I’ve read, perhaps I should have ordered a sandwich or half chicken and...

My first visit to Chook Chicken and won’t be my last. So so good! Please put some in Dallas. 🙂 It’s an order at the counter and then they bring it to your table place. So many delicious sounding options on the menu. I need to go back to try more. We both went with sandwiches, the BLAT and the curry chicken salad. Both were home runs. The sourdough bread is great, and hold up nicely with a full sandwich. I loved the cashews in the curry sandwich. It added great flavor and crunch. The chicken was tender and lots of it. We split some of the wedges with the most amazing ranch. The wedges themselves had lots of spice and flavor. Portions were good. For drinks they have some interesting soda and tea options along with wine and tasty sounding cocktails. Lots of seating inside and a sunny patio area for outdoor dining. They also have jarred pickled veggies for sale. And you can get any of the food togo.

Overall some delicious chicken and side items....

I think the food here is great but the service is inconsistent. Went in a couple days ago and ordered the Chook for 2. I explained to the person taking our order that we did not want a salad because no one’s eats it and it gets thrown out every time. The person offered to substitute the salad for a few bread rolls which worked out great we were very appreciative. We came in tonight to order the same thing and we’re told we had to take the salad in the order. I explained we were in just a couple of days ago and they were able to accommodate us. The manager on shift told the employee they could not do that and that we didn’t have a choice. Really? That was very disappointing I love the food but it’s wasteful to throw food out when no one wants it and it’s seems like an easy fix but apparently it’s too much to accommodate the customer so this will be our last visit. Best of luck to you. It’s about service and giving your customers...

11/10 experience! This was my first time trying Chook chicken and I am thoroughly impressed. As I walked in I was greeted by a pleasant young man named Matt who explained the menu and made me feel right at home. I immediately noticed how clean, cozy, and modern the dining area was. I ordered the quarter chicken and small side (fries) and can honestly say this is some of the highest quality food for the money I have found in the south Denver area. The fries were cooked perfectly and far from your average restaurant fry. I chose the “Macha” sauce and it had the perfect amount of kick that complimented the chicken expertly. If you enjoy preparing your own chicken with attention to detail and an eye for flavor, give yourself the night off from cooking and pick up dinner at Chook. A must-try as a Littleton or Greenwood Village resident, however there are other locations spread around Denver. 2 thumbs up!

After a long late morning of shopping for bedroom furniture- my husband and I were hungry … Denver Biscuit was closed and I wasn’t in the mood for fast food so we stopped at Chook…. We’ll to my surprise the chef/owner was in and I asked what was his favorite and he recommended the Chicken salad BLT and boy was it tasty!! The lettuce had a wine vinaigrette bite to it that set the sandwich off especially with my extra crispy bacon!!! And I couldn’t do without something to drink - no Pepsi- but I had Coke to make it was down with my wedges!!! Great lunch - not feeling heavy but actually refreshed. Thanks you! Try the BLT sandwhich with the crunchy tasty sourdough toasted bread!!!! Yuuuummmy!
