I have been a big fan of Chez Jose for years, ever since the days in Cherry Creek North. I've stopped into this location if I'm in the area. Hope last night was an anomaly. Always loved the chicken fajita burrito, but it was awful last night. Has the prep changed? Tortilla was cold, hard, and flakey. Burrito was full of chicken and chopped tomatoes (masquerading as salsa??). Barely any guac and no cheese as described. Couldn't finish it, waste of money. Very disappointed. I thought of saying something, but the girl at the register had disappeared and cook was too busy yakking with some of his friends who apparently came in. I would give it one star based on recent visit, but will average based on better experiences in the past. Get it together with preparation, service, and cleanliness (hard to find a clean table and it wasn't busy) or customers may be lost. I don't know if I...
Read moreWent to this place for dinner last night, after reading all the great reviews. Thought it would be a great spot, close to home. The girl who took our order was really friendly but that's about the only good thing I can say. When our order was brought out, mine was incorrect and missing a side I had also ordered, no big deal, I asked for it and she brought it out. I had to pick through my food because the order was wrong and the food was pretty bland, also. The margarita wasn't so great either, way too strong (I probably took 3 sips of it the entire time). And now I am home from work because I have been ill all day from food poisoning. Would not recommend going to this place at all and I will definitely...

They do not toast rice and serve just a skimp of it. Pinto beans was plain, flavoreless, no salt. I asked if I could have half corn half flour tortillas - I was just given corn. When I asked if I could have something to pick up cilantro with, the male cook said I can just use dining fork. I am from Texas, though not of Hispanic origin, I can cook a lot better than Chez Jose. This place appeared dead on a midweek day. May be they are better at other dishes, but I am not coming back to this place again. If others like it here - it means they didn't...
