On the upside: People need to be aware that this Mexican establishment does serve what appears to me to be authentic Mexican fare.
However, the carne asada that I had this afternoon which cost $16 with tax came on a paper plate + did not include a side of chips. This is curious to me, because the employee made such a big deal about the salsa bar.
It seems to me that if one of the highlights of a restaurant is to offer a salsa bar, (which I must admit to my observation looked very nice given the variety of salsas and sauces) THAT restaurant should for sure offer chips with every entree so that the customer can sample from said salsa bar.
I don't think too many people are in the habit of just lopping spoonful's of different types of sauces and salsa upon the food, which is prepared a specific way- and so chips would be the logical conclusion.
At any rate, I hope they do well because I think that they bring some authenticity to the Mexican restaurant scene. But if you are a blue collar worker in a big pickup truck and are expecting to get fed BIG for a reasonable amount of money, this might not be the best place to go. Yes authenticity, but low on the cost...
Read morestopped by to get a lunch to-go and had been wanting to try. i ordered a bowl that automatically came with a bunch of stuff on it i didn’t want. i was fine paying the same price of $13 even though i just wanted very little ingredients. he said it would be an up charge for queso on it and it came to $16. $2 or so $ for a drizzle of queso on the bowl not on the side (not sure how much $ extra bc i didn’t get a receipt) still not worth $2. anyways i get my bowl it’s an okay size again not worth the money especially since i got way less than what automatically came on the bowl. the chicken was literally white not a dusting of some sort of seasoning lol. don’t get me wrong the bowl was good but definitely not with $16 as far as what it was, how it was and how much of a portion it was. he also stressed to me the salsa bar but your order does not come with chips like every other mexican restaurant i’ve been to. i’m glad i tried it but it was a waste and i probably...

My fiancé and I stopped by Campano’s for the first time today and we were seriously impressed. We got the Birria Nachos, a Birria Burrito, and two horchatas and everything was fire 🔥
The birria was juicy and flavorful, and they do not skimp on it. The nachos came out hot, cheesy, and loaded nothing soggy, just crunchy and satisfying. The burrito? Huge, saucy, and packed with birria and fresh toppings. Every bite had flavor.
And the horchata? Cold, creamy, and smooth. Exactly what you want to wash it all down.
The vibe inside is casual, bright, and welcoming. Clean spot, friendly staff, fast service even while it was steady busy. Definitely one of our new go-to places for a chill day-date or quick bite that actually fills you up.
If you’re in Greenwood and haven’t been go. The food...
