Wild Eggs — Restaurant in Greenwood

Seeing lots of 5 star reviews and raving about the food has me a little puzzled. The food is mediocre at best. I am vegetarian and asked our server if the dish I wanted....breakfast casserole...could be meat free as the sausage is added as a topping not an ingredient. She checked with the kitchen and was assured we could. Placed my order, double checked that she included no sausage , she had. My friends placed their order. We wait...not a long wait, first yellow flag. Casserole comes out, looks good. Fried egg over the top. I take 2 bites and the thing is covered in sausage. Showing grace because they are new but what if my request was because of a severe food allergy?! A little more cincerning because the server had talked ti the kitchen staff about it. Server was very apologetic, they remake my food...while my friends continue to enjoy theirs. By the time I get served again, they are done. Kind of ruined the whole thing for me. The server was great through the whole thing. The manager took half off my bill, sort of a consultation prize. My friends also felt the food was just okay but both loved the potatoes,which seem to be the highlight for many people. Overall, I probably won't go again. I make better breakfast...

I walked in the location this morning to have breakfast. When I walked in, the host was taking an order on the phone, but they looked me in the eyes. I stood there waiting to be sat. I get it that the host was busy dealing with a difficult customer on the phone, so I sat down because my knee was in excruciating pain.

Also, multiple other staff saw me. I get that it isn't their position to seat me, some acknowledgement would have been nice.

A couple walked in about 5 minutes after I. They stood there waiting. No worries. I know the host saw me and would seat me next. I could not have been more wrong.

Once the host finished the call, they looked at the couple and offered to seat them. The couple indicated to the host that I was next. At that point, I stormed out.

Was it because I was one person? Was it because I didn't look like privileged person? I don't know and I will never know because I will never return.

It makes me sad because I've been here before and thoroughly enjoyed my previous experiences. Unfortunately, this soured all my previous experiences.

If this is how people are to be treated, I will make sure my friends and family...

First visit today 7/7/25. Decor is vibrant and the place seemed squeaky clean and new. Wife had the bacon city omelette. We both liked it and 4 eggs made it huge. We both loved the home fries, I could have sworn they were baked as they had no greasiness. I had the farmers market skillet and loved the taste. I wish I had some salsa available to add. We’ll be back soon because there’s lots of interest. Wish they had a larger lunch offering but I guess that’s not really their plan.

8/1/25 second visit for lunch. Wife had the club while I had the Cuban. The club’s bread was thick sliced and a large loaf of bread which led to a club much larger than the norm. Smoked turkey was the dominant flavor of the ample meat. The Cuban was moist and tangy due to the spicy mustard and the habagardil pickles. Not familiar with that pickle? Look it up. It tastes just like it’s defined. Our server was bubbly and good at her job making us want to come back for more, which we will. 8/16 lunch - Batman & Reuben. Wild Eggs made it their way.
