Captain D's — Restaurant in Griffin

This place was near my hotel and I was craving Capt. D's so I stopped in. Just one person in dining room already eating and no other customers inside. It was 9:30 and they were closing shortly so I understood just having the drive thru cashier taking orders. I ordered the 3pc fish dinner and when I tried to hand her the card for payment she me move down to the front of the drive thru and hand my card over a 6ft wall. Seriously? She couldn't have just taken my card and walked over herself instead of having me walk over and hand my card over a wall? It took 18 minutes to get my food out to me. I don'[t understand this bc there were no customers. When I got back to my hotel I found I had no utensils, napkins, or tartar sauce for my fish. Additionally, the person who trayed up and bagged my food was eating a chocolate chip cookie or maybe brownie while she was handling my food AND WITHOUT GLOVES. Since I had no utensils I was unable to eat the side of slaw. The portions I got were small and I already felt I wasn't getting my money's worth. I'd ordered the new spicey fish and the three of them together were about the size of one piece of the classic battered fish. I would recommend passing on the spicey and just going for classic batter since I was still quite hungry after eating the meal. They reduced the portion on their fries as well and of course I had no utensils so I didn't get to eat the slaw. The dining room was fairly clean but their was several pools of cocktail sauce on the counter where I ordered. Someone had spilled the sauce when breaking down the condiment station and just left it. It was there when I walked in and there when I left. It's very clear the crew needs additional training, the customer service was inexcusable.

If I had to choose ONE Captain D's to go to again it would definitely be this one!!! The restaurant was exceptionally clean(like the employees cleaned like it was their personal home) and had a calm atmosphere. We ordered and quickly the order was called in quietly,(unlike most captain d's when it's crazy)with in minutes our order was ready and bless her the young lady filled a container(NOT A CUP) with tarter sauce(we ordered the family fish & chicken dinner meal) y'all I've never been to a Captain D's where the food was fresh hot!!! Not reheated FRESH HOT!!! And so perfectly cooked. My mouth is watering now thinking how good that food was. Oh and the hushpuppies were like eating a deep fried cloud! I am a Georgia woman born and raised so I love my greasy food. The hushpuppies had the perfect amount of grease as did the fish. The chicken was perfect as well as the mac n cheese and their famous cole slaw!!!!! If you're ever in Griffin you have to stop by the captain d's!!!! Definitely giving 5 stars in every...

Me and my dad went to captain D's in griffin and we went through the drive through because you can't go inside. First the lady "ma'am'd" my dad then. We ordered one 4 peice chicken with fries and beans then we got a fish meal with just fries. A Pepsi and a tea. Well when we got our food. Our "4 piece chicken" was a four peice fish then fries were cold felt like they came out of the freezer. The beans were cold as well but had no seasoning what so ever. My tea was hot with no ice. And I said ice. Then my "fish meal" was right on the fish but again the fries were cold and it wasn't Pepsi that they gave us. It was tea and again hot with maybe one or two peices of ice. Theres no way the tea melted alot of ice that fast from them making it and handing it to us.

So I'm saying the service and my experience there was terrible! I wish I didn't have to even put one star because I wouldn't but I have to. So I recommend to everyone that they DO NOT go to the captain...
