It took an hour and a half for our food to come out. When it did, only three out of four plates were ready but mine had the wrong pancakes so it got sent back. About 10 minutes later the final missing plate came out and 20 minutes later my fixed plate arrived (after the others in the party were already finished eating). I think the eggs, bacon, and sausage could have been good but they were very dry. I wonder if possibly they were from the original plate and kept warm causing them to be dry? However, I still don’t know why it took 20 minutes to fix my pancakes. When the plate returned, despite the eggs, bacon, and sausage, the cinnamon pancakes were really wonderful.

The service was…odd to say the least. There were a lot of people working but they were all moving at very slow paces and just looking around. I know our server could have been good but it seems like she was having a rough day.

Many other people in the restaurant got up and just left while we were there because they had waited for 2+ hours and still had not received food.

When we got our check, there was no discount or anything such as an eliminated up charge or coffee. I feel like if this is not something that happens on the regular you can see and acknowledge that and do something for your customers as an “I’m sorry for what I know was an experience not up to our standards.” I am leaving wondering if this is actually their normal?

When we checked out the gentleman asked us how everything was. I was kind but still honest with my response and he gave us 25% off which was appreciated. That act, the pancakes, and the view out of the windows is the only reason why I even give them two stars and not one.

Overall it was not an experience I value on a normal basis but being 7 months pregnant and going through this made it more...

Avoid this place! 1st Beware, the floor is VERY slick. One of my kids fell down, I walk with a cane due to a bad back and I almost lost my footing too.

2nd, we waited about 30mins to be sat, had 3 different employees ask how many in our party, disorganized. When the table was ready for our family of 6, he pointed and a couple minutes later came with menus. Not a big deal.

Alot of table and chair cramed together made it hard to maneuver around, the staff will just about run you over if you aren't moving fast enough.

Our waitress was prompt with greet and getting our drinks. We put in our food order pretty soon once seated. After 30 minutes, my husband took the kids outside to see the beach view, (you can't sit out there, but has big baywindows). Well, after an hour and no refills on our drink we still had not seen our waitress or our food. We went and paid for our drinks, blamed us for our food taking so long because we ordered two burgers (not pancakes, even though it was on the menu.) They auto added a 18% tip for the waitress for groups of 6, one of which was under 3. So two adult coffee, and four kids chocolate milk and one soda was over $25 then the auto tip. Worst $30 I have spent in a long time.

The lemonade was lemon flavored flat soda. This place is INSIDE the Best Western hotel. Mediocre at best. The only plus was it is handicap accessible. Parking, ramp, hc bathroom. Table are close together...

We wanted to try a new breakfast restaurant ,this was a mistake.Upon arrival we stood there at the hostess desk and had to wait while two servers argued over who would have to seat us.We got a table after their debate was over and sat and waited on one before mentioned waiter to take our order. The plastic menus are so worn its hard to see or order of.The table was sticky and the salt and pepper shakers had apparently never been washed. The little card in a metal holder reminding people to pay cash for a discount was covered in what I can only assume hot sauce maybe syrup. The waiter came took our order (we almost left...before he showed up) not sure if he had a wired jaw or some speech impediment ,he hardly moved his mouth when he spoke, very hard to understand. Anyways the food came super overpriced for what we got.Not high quality for sure.We ate we went to pay at which point a young lady rolled her eyes since she had to check us out and we interrupted her picking coffee filters apart. We paid after she figured out how to work the register. We left and could only shake our heads since their was just the two of us and one other party of about 8 in the entire restaurant. Not good at all ... especially at the beach inside...

While hosting my parents who were visiting from Arizona, we set out to enjoy a late breakfast near Fort Myers Beach. By midday, most restaurants had transitioned to lunch service, but we were pleased to learn that The Island Pancake House continues serving breakfast until 2:00 PM—a thoughtful accommodation that immediately set the establishment apart. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly and invited to seat ourselves. Our server, Donna, introduced herself with genuine warmth and professionalism, setting a welcoming tone for the experience. The menu was well-presented, and the featured image of the Rum Island Punch caught my attention. We ordered it without rum, and it exceeded expectations—refreshing and perfectly balanced. Donna remained attentive and responsive throughout our visit, enhancing the overall experience. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with an additional side of bacon, both of which were exceptional in taste and presentation. From extended breakfast hours to outstanding service and culinary quality, The Island Pancake House delivered a memorable guest experience. I look forward to returning and will confidently recommend it to others.
