New Orleans Original Snoballs — Restaurant in Gulf Shores

After a full day of swimming and relaxing on the beach, the family wasn't really up for a big meal; just wanted something quick and easy but different than the standard fast-food fare that we can get anywhere. So we decided to hop in the car and drive until we found something that caught our eyes...and our appetites. That's how we stumbled upon NOOS.

Believe it or not, it cost less than $30 to feed our family of 4. Their prices were INCREDIBLY reasonable (for example...Nachos with chili, peppers, and sour cream less than $5!!!) and the helpings were hefty!

They also have burgers, hot dogs, boudin (for all of you Yankees, Google it 😏), chili pie, muffulettas and a few more things that I'm sure I'm forgetting. And I don't recall seeing anything priced higher than $7!

It's not a fancy looking place, either. But that's part of the charm, too. Walk up, place your order, and eat. It doesn't get any simpler than that!...

The snowballs here are absolutely amazing! They’re packed with extra juice, so you definitely get your money’s worth. The flavors are bold and delicious, and the staff is super helpful when it comes to picking one out. They even warn you to sip through your straw because of how much juice they pour in.

Pro tip: don’t skip the cream or condensed milk—it takes an already great treat to the next level. We’ve been here three times now, and I’m assuming the super friendly folks we’ve seen each visit are the owners. They make the whole experience even better.

The little yellow front building might not look like much from the outside, but don’t let that fool you—it’s the site of a golden gem. I haven’t tried any of the other food yet, but I definitely plan to. This place is a must-try and, in my opinion, even better than...
