Surf Style is a chain throughout the southern beaches. If you've bought shits at one then they all look the same, just different states printed on them. However, they are a staple of good deals and huge selection. They are known for their 'buy one get one free spring break shirts' and tables and tables of 'buy two get one free'. A definite stop if you are shopping for those at home, yourself or a large family. Reasonable rates on all other souviners also. Best beach towels! When checking out I was asked for my ID. I explained that I didn't bring it in with me because I use my check card and I have to type in my code so I shouldn't need my ID. The young girl explained that their registers don't ask for the code when you use a check card and said for some reason they have never worked. I could see the little hand held item that you type your number into by the register but IT DOESN'T work!!! So I'm suppose to go get my ID because no one has called to get these things repaired! I think not! I was not ugly to these people but I'm sure they could see my frustration. It is an convenience store so be prepared for marked up prices on items that would be cheaper at a regular grocery store. For an example, a regular dinner box of Kraft mac and cheese would cost around a couple dollars more. The layout of the store is nice. It has other items besides groceries. The employees are helpful to find items in the store yet are not overly friendly. In addition, according to one of the employees, you must show your ID to cashier for any purchase, even if you are buying any controlled substances like medicine and alcohol.
