my husband visited Jimmy John’s one month ago. while in the drive thru, the employee told him that he needed to swipe his card again because it did not go through the first time. he sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes waiting on his card back. when the employee came to the window, he said the entire JJs credit card system was down and if he did not have cash, he would need to give the food back. so not only did he have to give food back that was in his possession/car (IN THE MIDDLE OF COVID), he was also asked to give his drink back, that he had already drank out of. after my husband stated he drank out of the drink, they allowed him to keep it. keep in mind, it is an error on their part. not my husbands.
as if the scenario couldn’t be more absurd, we got charged TWICE for a meal he never received. we paid over $20 dollars for a drink. I have called the store about 7-8 times over the past month, with only one returned phone call. After being hung up on by the “general manager”, Mike, he has now told me that since they can’t find the charge on their end, its not up to them to fix it. Even though, we have the proof on our end on bank statements AND he says he remembers my husband in the drive thru that day. never once were we asked to come in to help settle this situation. I have also asked for the store owner to call me on three different occasions with zero returned phone call. Per Mike, “why haven’t you just disputed this with your bank, they would have given you your money back by now”
by far, the worst customer service we have ever received, especially the fact I got hung up on because Mike didn’t feel it was his obligation to right their wrong. I know we are all short employees and spread too thin, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to be rude, arrogant,...

Twice I’m informed that I need to place my catering order 24 hrs in advance so they have enough bread for the day. I travel all over the US with my crew ordering for them them food from jimmy johns at noon and picking up that evening for the next day without issue. I don’t know if we’re going to be working at that location the next day to order 24 hrs in advance.
