Hot Head is hands down one of my favorite places to eat, this one was quite disappointing. When I walked in I was greeted, there was one person ahead of me who was checking out. While waiting to be helped one girl walked by an said she’d be right with me... she wasn’t, she just went into the back and I didn’t see her again until the girl that was helping the man ahead of me was finished. The girl that made my burrito, who seemed quite miserable, was slower than what I’m used to, but she had to have been new. She wasn’t unfriendly, just didn’t seem happy to be there. The entire time I was in there there was a third woman, I’m assuming was the manager, sitting at the register in a chair with another employee that was out of uniform. It sounded like they were talking about a schedule of some sort. I ordered some chips and a drink with my burrito and the girl who had made my food didn’t seem to know where the chips were and the employee that was out of uniform got them for her. As for my burrito... it was a burrito, my steak was dry and there wasn’t enough sauce on it to make it taste good. Queso tasted watered down... but my soda was good.
Over all, I was less than impressed. I won’t be visiting this...
Read moreWas in town and decided to give my original hothead location a go. I moved and now frequent the Lebanon Location(5/5)!!. Upon arrival, I was excited for the updates to the inside and floors, however there was no greeting, just a stare. I decided to wait until a greeting before ordering which made this customer-employee interaction very awkward. I proceeded with my order and was quickly disgusted by the overall appearance of the food. The guacamole and lettuce was completely brown, and room visibly warm. The employee did not say a single word during the checkout process.
Upon getting home, the “steak” tasted so disgusting, had to spit it out, and was soft. I called location and asked for Manager which they could not provide. I stated that I called to inform the steak was bad and not serve-able. No apologies, no reassurance, simply, no words. Not sure if the message was received. Sadly, the service and food does not compare to when it did two years ago, and maybe with better customer service I would give the benefit of the doubt, unfortunately not in this case. Just wanting this to reach...
Read moreHot head burrito is usually a great choice for dinner when it comes to my family. They have enough food choices that my large family can all find something they want and the price is pretty reasonable. This location though is one I suggest everyone stay away from.
We went here a few months ago and it was so bad we swore we would never go back, but since most things were closed on the 4th of July we decided to give it one more shot. I wish we hadn't.
I got the steak bowl with brown rice. The rice ended up being crunchy from sitting under the warmer for longer than it should have and the steak was a shade of grey that I'm pretty sure no one should be eating. The queso cheese was as liquidy as water and turned my bowl into a Mexican soup. Finally, they had no cookies for the kids meals and wanted to charge me for the whole price of the kids meals without even offering to replace it with something else.
I love hot head. But this location has let us down immensely more than once. Take the time to drive to Mason and go to...
