My girlfriend and I loved coming here and we are frequent customers but lately we feel like we have been treated with an attitude and disrespect. We dine in and order take out. Today we ordered take out and asked for extra culantro on the side. When we came in to pick up our food the waitress and the man at the register were very rude and telling us it doesn’t come with our food we have to ask for it and usually they charge extra. I explained I knew that and that’s why when I ordered I asked for it on the side. The owner always gives it to us on the side for free weather we dine in or out. I don’t know why we were treated like this and it makes us not want to come here anymore. Whenever we tried to speak up and say we did ask for it as extra the waitress kept interrupting and talking to us in a snooty matter. When we walked away we could tell they were talking about us. We felt completely disregarded and unheard. I don’t know what has changed but they are not like they used to be anymore. We used to love coming here but now I don’t think we will be anymore due to rude staff. Even after trying to explain the misunderstanding we were still misunderstood and given attitude. All we were trying to ask for was for some culantro I don’t care if i have to pay extra or not, I don’t need to be given an attitude. It is not my fault my order wasn’t taken correctly and then when I ask for what is missing I’m the one who is in the wrong. You can see from my receipt that I did ask for it. Will be taking our business elsewhere to the pho resturaunt in EHT.

Finally - I managed to get a picture of the soup before digging in so that I could write a review for Pho Life. I've been coming to Pho Life since it opened and over the past 9 years, it has consistently reigned supreme as the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. All of their dishes are incredible - from lemongrass chicken, to banh mi, to interesting Vietnamese sausage - nothing is a bad choice. The pho itself is divine. Sitting side-by-side next to my boyfriend as we slurp a bowl of rare steak pho with scallions in fat dipped in hoisin-sriracha sauce... well, I can't think of a more comforting experience. We go every chance we get, but especially on rainy days. Something that shines above most other restaurants I frequent is that even though my five-year old won't eat Vietnamese food (YET), I don't feel pressured by staff about it. To sum it all up - clean, brightly lit, fun blue ceiling tile, delicious, amazing, incredible, fresh food, fantastic service, very cheap price. Don't miss Pho Life!

First let me start by telling you about the restaurant itself. It is super casual, you can go there in jeans and sneakers/work boots. The tables are so close together which means you sit super close to the person next to you. I prefer a little more privacy when I go out to eat. Definitely not a place to go on a first date. I love pho and have been making it at home for many years. The broth was the perfect temperature, very tasty but could have had more aromatics. The raw steak was very tender and cooked perfectly in the broth. The meatballs were absolutely gross! Tough, not edible. I could not chew them or cut them with my fork. There was hard chunks of some kind of gristle. They give you a nice portion of greens/sprouts with the pho. Overall I had a nice experience and will be returning.

I am beyond disappointed as a fellow Viet. I support all of my ppls' biz regardless to a fault. But, uhhmm.. Somehow, I thought it was ok to call in to voice my indifferences due to the fact that this isn't the first or second time that my take out order was incorrect. All I wanted to do was to give them a heads up that "Hey, this has happened often enough, I wanted to let u know that I can't eat it bc the broth is wrong or the noodles is not even accompanied by the right broth to even eat it. Bun bo hue noodles with Pho broth and vice versa. I can't make it happen.

Idk, what to do but to call to give them a heads up. I've asked to speak to the owner and a lady asserted herself for me to express my complaint/grievance and I gave in and tried to tell her my problem and sure enough.. It was "OUR'' fault. She told me that I should've had the person taking out my food to check. I do agree, but, I've also rebutted that the person who packs the food should also check. (The person who's taking out my food is my older parent 65+; which only knows how to pay and says thank you & tip ). I explained to her that it could be better on their end than to blame my old momma. N, all I wanted to do was to tell them that this is my 3rd time and that it happened more than they think; to maybe please check. Anyhow, it didnt end there. She gave the phone over to a young fellow as I've declined to only speak to the owner. The younger fellow followed up with a "I've heard it all" "Why are you trying to argue with us"? Gosh! As if, I have time to do so, sir. The professionalism in our Viet establishment isn't important til it becomes irrelevant.

PS. All I was trying to do was tell you was this was the 3rd time I got the wrong noodles to broth and I wanted to give you guys a heads up. Its hard to eat Pho with Bun Bo Hue broth, Pho with Hu Tieu broth or Bun Bo Hue noodles with Pho broth. Before you and your staff come at me.. Make it make sense for me. What or How can I come to you without your or your staff getting defensive and blaming it on my poor...

Not worth even that star!! Came here twice and both times their manager failed to show professionalism. But today she was just too much. My husband and I ordered egg roll appetizer and they contain pork, which wasn't specified in the menu, it is just described as "egg roll". The waitress never said anything of it containing any type of meat, however she did mention that another dish contains peanuts, as a warning, so they can let you know of certain ingredients but of their choosing. My husband is Muslim and he never tasted pork so i let him know that it contain pork after confirming it with the waitress. We didn't even finish th egg rolls an asked tht they are removed from te table. At the end of our meal we expected the waitress to yake it off the bill as it was clearly their mistake and it is a rule of the thumb for any restaurant to do, however their manager came and told us she won't take it off the bill, not apologizing for the misunderstanding or offering to take it off the bill. After showing her that their menu doesn't even specify what it contains she offered to take half of it off, which is worth 3$. Now the money is not my issue, the service and lack of customer service is my problem with this place. This is the second time it has happened and I won't go there again. Now instead of making a loyal customer out of me with a sincere apology, I will make negative advertising for as long as I will be...
