Margaritas Mexican Restaurant - Hammond — Restaurant in Hammond

This place has some pretty good food. I didnt care to much for their version of lacaretas chipotle shrimp. It wasnt that it was bad it jusy didnt have as much flavor as i expected it to have and it was such a small portion compared to the other entrees you have to chose from. They have fast and good service as far as.fillong your drinks, getting your chips and salsa, taking your orders, and fulfilling that order, and getting to go boxes etc. Its relatively small so not many people can fit at once. But it has really neat decor throughout the restuarant. The waiter was very nice and helpful with what comes with the food and what you can get instead if you dont like a particular item. The prices were about normal compared to every other place aeound the area. And the food does come out fast and nicely plated. They do have a kids menu and a lunch menu to choose from. I would recommend the shrimp chimichanga they were really really good esp with extra white caso on top. And the chips and salsa was also a good starter while you wait for your order to come out i would most definetely recommend this place if you want to try something that you havent before to anyone. The food was decent, but everything else was pretty bad. I had the Carne Asada, and my husband had the Pineapple Fajita. The menu said you can add shrimp to the fajita for an additional $2, which he requested. The server informed us this couldn't be done, but he could add a side of shrimp for $6.99. Hubs said dont worry about it. He just wanted the steak. The server then insisted he would cover the cost himself. We both told him that wasn't necessary, but he assured us it was not a big deal and told us not to worry about it. The entrees came out and were actually pretty good. Afterward, we ordered a fried ice cream, which was NOT fried and was covered in a lot of cinnamon, but it was ok. We asked for the bill and handed the server our coupon (what brought us in to start with). We got our bill, and, of course, we were charged for the shrimp we didn't want, and we were told we have to pay before the discount could be applied. I've never heard of that in my life, but whatever. At this point, we just wanted to leave. Menu's need to be updated to reflect the actual costs and the actual cost should be shown on the...

First time i went here the waitress was drunk and had to ask me what my friend ordered. Today the host rushed us to our table like a cop directing traffic. Our waitress then proceeded tell us to hurry with our order because they were about to close and we felt superrr bad about it because on the door it said 10 but she said they were closing at 9 instead, it was 8 when we got there. We asked her if we could just take the food to go later on so they wouldnt have to wait for us to finish, but then she tells us they werent closing anytime soon.. also the bathrooms had tinfoil on the toilets and everything tasted like food poisoning. Roommate immediately threw up when...
