Bahama Buck's - Harker Heights — Restaurant in Harker Heights

Unfortunately, I have been coming here for 10+yrs and have not had a bad experience until tonight. Tonight my family and I visited around 9:30. We are a big family, so by the time all of us started to sit down and enjoy our desserts, it was 9:45. We were well aware of the fact that they close @10pm. They felt the need to tell us @9:50 that they close in 10 minutes. So our family decided to take our stuff outside so that way we would be out of their way. We were all just finishing up and chatting and probably would have been off the patio soon. However @ 10:01 a young lady decided to come tell us that it was a “safety hazard” to have us on the patio. This was very rude and only ONE minute after closing. I understand that people want to go home but chasing away your customers is just not the way to handle your business. Please train your staff accordingly to understand guest satisfaction, because the hours online said 10pm. If you want people out by 10pm, stop serving @9:30pm or change your hours. Came here during our little "heat wave" lol during happy hour but forgot how long the lines can be ,guess every one had the same thought to get some Bahama Bucks. I wish there were two locations but hey, one is still good. I like the drink combinations, although I am a creature of habit and usually always get the Carribean cola which I absolutely love. There are so many drink choices I will have to go one day when they are closed to take a pic of the menu so I can try something else, although I have mixed flavors before like cotton candy in the Carribean cola, don't turn your face up lol, you'd be surprised. My son got the dragon fruit smoothie and it was such a beautiful color and tasted exactly how you think it would with that type of color, absolutely wonderful,of course I took a sip. The customer service has always been pretty decent and friendly. This is another place that if you don't go during happy hour, those drinks add up. They also changed their reward bucks system from a punch card to a app on the phone, I forgot to scan my reciept but will do it now. Overcharged, no receipt, seems busier than they can handle. We went through the drive thru and ordered two small smoothies. We received one small and one regular but no receipt. The cashier took the regular back then handed us a dollar and the drink back. This upset me because they do charge tax which was not reimbursed and unless the health code has changed, they broke it by taking food through the drive thru window and re-served it. If it was just one or two things and they didn't close the window before giving us a chance to respond every time, I wouldn't have felt I needed to go inside and talk with the manager. They were busy, the cashier was young, and people make mistakes but it was still not the pleasant, smooth transaction I was hoping for. The manager attempted to dispute the health code violation and insisted on giving me 13 cents instead of 8 cents tax even when I pointed out it was a dollar difference for the drink sizes.
