Our son-in-law told us about Pierino’s in Harker Heights, we didn’t even know it was there! We stopped in for some pizza on Tuesday afternoon. There’s no place to sit and eat inside the restaurant, but since it has the same owner as Arepitas Venezuelan Restaurant right next door, we were told that you can take your pizza over there and eat in their dining room. We got the pizza to take home, but the pizza smelled so good in the truck, that my wife asked me to pull over into a shopping center parking lot so that we could try a piece! That has never happened before!!
We ordered the Prosciutto Burrata Napoletana Pizza and the Quattro Stagioni Siciliana Pizza, because we wanted to try both types of pizza that they offered. The Napoletana is a thin-crust pizza and the Siciliana is a thick and heavier crust pizza. Both were packed with fresh ingredients. The Prosciutto Burrata was our favorite pizza. The prosciutto and fresh mozzarella were very good. A very balanced pizza without any one thing overpowering the others. At $16.99, we also felt it was reasonably priced. The Quattro Stagioni was a substantial pizza! In my opinion, it could easily feed four people. Thick crust and loaded with toppings. It was heavy on the garlic, which left an aftertaste that wasn’t great. We did really like the pizza, but at $37.99, we thought it was overpriced. I recommend that you ask them to go light on the garlic, unless you really really really like garlic.
This is a pizza place to put on your list. If you’re looking for a break from the American-style pizza served in most pizza restaurants around here, check out Pierino’s Pasta & Pizza. In addition to Italian-style pizzas, they offer other Italian dishes and sandwiches….we’ll definitely be back to try more...
Read moreThe nomadic life has its advantages. I've tried every pizza place from north to south Texas. There are so many terrible pizza places and very few great ones.
Pierino's is the most authentic, best textured, delicious pizza I have had since leaving Italy. The carbonized edges, the fresh ingredients, the genuine kindness of the employees, well you might think it's fake, but it's not. We almost turned and left upon entering because there were no tables, and we were looking for a place to dine in. Thank goodness they stopped to explain that the tables were next door. Unconventional, yes, but SO VERY WORTH IT. We ordered the Margherita pizza, the Pierino's pizza, and the Fetuccinni Alfredo. Everyone loved their food. My Margharita was so crispy, soft, and full of flavor. The portions are very good. We took leftovers home and reheated. It reheats very well. My pizza ends were still crunchy without being hard and dry. Augh, we are thinking about going back again today. We can't stop thinking of the food.
We HIGHLY recommend you try them out. There are plenty of tables and good vibes!
Sorry for the bad pictures, we attacked the pizza before I remembered to take pictures
Thank you, guys. You are very much appreciated.
Oh yes, they use bamboo paper. Save SAVE THE HUMANS! ...
Read moreI had the absolute utmost pleasure of meeting the owners of Pierino's Pasta & Pizza today and let me tell you this place isn't just a restaurant; it's a warm, inviting experience thanks to the incredible generosity and kindness of its owners, Tony and his wife. From the moment you walk in, you're treated like family. Tony and his wife consistently go above and beyond, ensuring every customer feels valued and leaves with a smile.
The food, of course, is another major draw. The pasta is cooked to perfection, the pizza has the ideal ratio of sauce to cheese, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. But it's the exceptional customer service that truly sets Pierino's apart. Whether it's a friendly greeting, a willingness to accommodate special requests, or just a genuine interest in your day, Tony and his wife create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
In a world where good customer service is becoming increasingly rare, Pierino's Pasta & Pizza shines as a beacon of how it should be done. If you're looking for authentic Italian delicious food served with a side of genuine care and top-notch service, look no further than Pierino's. It's a true gem in Harker Heights, and Tony and his wife have created something special that deserves to...
