I've been wanting to try Isabella's since we moved to the area. I didn't have huge expectations but expected a lot better than what we received. We were greeted at all when we entered so we didn't know whether to sit or go to the counter. The food was horrendous. We started with the Cheese Arancini and they had absolutely no flavor. We ordered two 10" pizzas - The Matt and The Godfather. Both pizzas were significantly undercooked. The Matt had canned pineapple, which I didn't expect considering it's kind of peak pineapple season, and the chicken was GRAY and tasted bad. I literally picked all the toppings off except for the jalapenos in fear this was going to make me sick. My husband had The Godfather which he did not like. He said the sausage did not taste well and, overall, the pizza had little flavor. The waiter was running around taking care of inside and outside customers, while taking orders. We really did not see anyone else in the dining area other than two younger workers who brought the pizzas to the table, spilling grease all over the table, laughing and not being seen again, except on their phones through the openings. We did not mention anything to the waiter, as he only asked us if we needed anything in passing and we knew none of what we were experiencing had anything to do with him. I can only recommend the draft beer choices, hence the 2 stars. It was $70+ for three draft beers, our "app", and two personal pizzas. With prices like this, you would think the food would be decent - even the pineapple was flavorless! Very disappointed we paid for this meal.
Update: After a response from the owner, I will clarify my concerns regarding the chicken. We did not think it was raw. Some of the pieces had a pork texture, which I do not eat, so that was concerning and other pieces tasted like they were old and/or spoiled. In addition, the reason for sharing the cost of our meal is that the quality of the ingredients and final product did not justify the price, in my opinion. We should have known by the last month of reviews (avg 2.625 stars) that we should have gone elsewhere but wanted to try...
Read moreNot recommended. Bring cash to tip after you're served (i.e., don't tip when you order and pay!). You can probably plan to keep it. An order of soggy, undercooked fries came out relatively quickly, but we waited 45 minutes for a basic order of one pizza and cheesy bread, and they weren't exceptionally busy. We were surrounded by un-bussed tables from the moment we walked in, and I know the servers had a fair amount of down time when we were there. One of the servers had to hand off her partially eaten ice cream cone to the cook so she could be bothered to hand us our food. The kitchen seems to be understaffed by design. The cook seemed very relaxed, though, so I guess credit to the owner for creating a nice environment for staff?
There's also some kind of leaky plumbing on the visible underside of the building. Probably not a problem for their food, but who knows what kind of sewage...
Read more2 stars because the pizza is actually good. Took a seat at the patio to order to-go, moved baskets off a dirty table with check money under it. Almost an hour later the baskets were still there with the money underneath! Ordered small pizza and 2 beers- should have known the cashier saying "I need to clock back in to take your order" was a red flag. Let the server know we were sitting outside once the pizza was ready. Brought my beer out to notice it was poured into a completely shattered glass- unsafe! Watched other tables walk out over excessive wait time. Pizza took 40 minutes, and only got it after coming inside to ask.
I don't blame the teenage servers, but this isn't normal. Management needs...
