Overall the food tastes fresh, well spiced and presented nicely.
All food is fresh made to order, there is no buffet style food.
Customers have two choice of pricing.
Order directly off their regular laminated color menu and pay per item as in a typical restaurant.
Order off a black and white paper menu for unlimited items option "all you can eat".
The unlimited menu is priced for adults and children, rather than age pricing varies by customer height.
Kids under 3” 1’ eat free Kids 3” 1’ – 3” 9’ are $7.99 Kids 3” 9’ – 4”6’ are $10.99 Customers over 4”6’ are $18.99
They’re a few pricing caveats with the unlimited pricing option, they are clearly printed at the top and bottom of both menus.
These being: Order as many rounds as you like, please order what you can finish.
No sharing is allowed between guests doing unlimited sushi and hibachi and guests who are not.
I’ve read complaints in some reviews for charges on left overs, not being told up front by restaurant staff-- but the menu clearly advises of these charges.
EXTRA CHARGE FOR LEFT OVER FOOD ITEMS including sushi at .50 per piece.
There is a .50 cent additional charge per portion of sashimi and nigiri.
In my opinion these charges are reasonable.
Please read the menu first so you’re aware of the restaurant policy.
I’ve posted pictures of both menu in my review here.
There is a generous selection of items on either menu.
The dining room is kept very clean. The tables are spaced out for diners to have ample space to sit and enjoy their meals.
The service is very good, attentive without being annoying.
Food arrives quickly after ordering, vegetables are still crisp and the meats are cooked to medium.
The portions on the unlimited menu are smaller than their counterpart on the regular menu, which I’ve found I very much like.
It allows me to order a variety of dishes and flavors I wouldn’t off a typical menu.
Tempura and dumplings; ramen bowl and hibachi steak; octopus, eel, tuna sashimi with kimchi and an avocado salad.
Either way you order, off the regular or unlimited menu, the food comes out the same way. Made to order,...
Read moreI will start off saying I am kind of stuck posting this review. I really don’t know how to rate it. The food was amazing as well as our server! This isn’t my first time eating here but was my first time taking my girlfriends here. We got sat , got drinks, ordered some appetizers before our sushi. About 20 minutes in this couple comes in with their 2 children , one older , one younger. They’re seating 2 tables behind us. They ordered their drinks , and sushi. The mom got soup and salad. The soup and salad came out and they took maybe 2 bites, if that. Their daughter started choking on something. We keep hearing her choke and I jump up asking if they need help . She finally gets it up mostly but they go ahead and walk out because she is about to get sick. The host chase them down and say you need to pay, he said we will take it to go and tries to walk outside with their sick child. The host continues to scream you need to pay you need to pay. He said we will one moment. She chases him and keeps screaming so he comes and pays. Embarrassed he sits back down and waits. I go up to him make sure he’s okay and their daughter. Tell them I’m sorry she treated you that way etc. He gets his food and leaves . I felt so bad. We proceed to keep eating and finish our food. Our serves gives our checks and we pay. There’s 4 of us , 2 are on 1 check and the other 2 separate. We all pay & tip. We go to talk out and the host starts saying no one of you no pay one of you no pay. I said yes we did and we try to walk out again and she screaming no no let me check. I said we all paid and have receipts. She starts yelling at the other lady. And I walk around her and she said oh I sorry you paid. I understand with it being a college town maybe they deal with walk outs and I’m sorry. But harassing customers in the way they did is kind of sickening. I doubt we will ever be back even tho the food...
Read moreWas the worst service at a restaurant we ever had. It was our first and will be our last time going there. We had several issues at the restaurant. The first issue was the waitress didn’t take some of ours drink orders to start. She then didn’t give us the right food menu. There are two different menus. One is for all you can eat and the other is for regular food menu. Two people in our family said they wanted all you can eat and wanted to get 3 crab sushi rolls and but brought out 24 crab rolls instead. Since they didn’t have the right menu it didn’t show that they come 8 rolls per order and you don’t order individual amounts. They refused to take the order back even though they made a mistake. Eventually, she said we can share all those sushi rolls because he couldn’t order more until it was all eaten. Turns out she wasn’t supposed to say that because that is against their all you can eat rules. I order another food order but looked the waitress in the eye right away and told her not to bring the order since I will be helping my friend eat his 24 sushi roll. The waitress still brought me the order even though I told her twice not to bring it. They charge you for throwing food away if you don’t eat it all if you are doing the all you can eat. They skipped taking order for my youngest and had to find the waitress to get her meal order. Then she was arguing with us about the bill at the end. Was trying to say two of us weren’t all you can eat orders. She then confirmed she had 6 of us down for all you can eat and we had to point out the 6 of us that did order it. We were a party of 12 people and got this very poor service. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. There are other great places in town to...
