My wife and I went here for the seafood and prime rib dinner buffet on a Saturday night. They only do the buffet on Friday and Saturday nights so if you're looking for this, be aware of that. The food was good but not great. When I heard it was a seafood buffet I assumed there would be a lot more fish to choose from. There was only one type of fish available and it was a little bland. There was all you can eat crab and tempura shrimp and both of those were quite good. The salad/fruit selection was not very impressive. Most of the buffet portion was different salads that didn't look very tempting to me. The prime rib was quite good. I really enjoyed that. There was a large selection of desserts and I really enjoyed most of them. For an all you can eat buffet that includes prime rib, the 45 dollar price (per person) was not bad. The service was definitely lacking for us. We were seated outside but it soon started raining and we had to be moved inside. Inside or outside, we had no idea who our waiter was most of the night. Since it was a buffet we made do pretty well without one but we definitely felt neglected and unsure who to ask for things the entire meal. All in all, it was a pretty good dinner. I'm a bit on the fence on whether I would go back. It definitely lacked the flavors and the variety (and the service) that I expected but it's not a bad value for the amount of...
Read moreI would have given the food more stars if it weren’t for the omelet at the breakfast buffet. There is an omelet station where they will make you one from scratch. Sounds like a plan until you see the process unfold dismally before your eyes. First, the ‘chef’ drowned the pan in cheap GMO canola oil (we’re talking Wesson oil from a wholesale jug). Next, he wilted the ingredients in this pale oil bath (no butter or high quality olive oil, avocado oil, etc.). Then he squirted in another inch of cheap oil to further drench the ingredients and now the egg as well. No seasoning at all was added or offered. The omelet was basically inedible. The rest of the buffet was just ok, the fruit was fresh, the waffles were good but the sticky fake maple syrup was really low quality as well. The tables are partly open air and partly glass partitioned - extremely dirty glass. The seating is noisy at this time of year with Ironman training events (with loud speakers) happening directly outside the seating area. And don’t even think about ordering a breakfast/brunch cocktail. They charge $15 for a mimosa! :0. You can get a mimosa for $5 at the pub directly across the side street. The service was friendly but the overall experience was...
Read moreDinner buffet is NOT worth it. This is by far the worst value on the entire island. We have eaten here for each of our vacations and this time will be the last. $75 per person for a buffet that consists of: white rice, 1 soup choice, lettuce, carrots, beets, croutons, 2 dressings, 2 types of poke, tuna, seafood salad, macaroni salad, pork, prime rib, over cooked crab, a mixed veggie, a pasta station with 2 options and a hand full of dried out desserts. That’s literally all you will get. The crab is over cooked, the prime rib is under seasoned. The soup was barely warm, same with the vegetables. They ran out of tuna and wouldn’t refill it at 7:30pm. Lemonade/soda will cost $5 per person. It was not busy on Saturday when we were there. It took well over 30 mins to get our lemonade and it was a kid size cup. The server disappeared after the drinks and never got refills. This is the worst buffet for the price that I’ve ever had. $30 would be sufficient. We have been going there for the last 5 years and it will not happen again. The quality and selection has went too far downhill and the price has went way up. Save your money and go check out the Royal Kona, Huggos or Papa Konas, they are at least...
