Kona Chinese BBQ — Restaurant in Hawaii

This gets some bad reviews in places, and I don't know why. Yes, it's old and cramped (they stack up pop cases in the small sitting area), but the food quality, quantity and prices are comparable or better than L&L. It's similar food, chicken and beef with rice, the other dishes you'd expect, but they have a bit deeper menu. I really like the coconut shrimp, which is not what you might expect, it's shrimp in a sweet white sauce, nice, and plenty of them. You see locals eating there often, they know, it's good cheap food and a lot of it. I hit the place every time I'm down on Palani, it's interchangeable with L&L as far as I'm concerned.

Sure wasn’t bad! My friends and I stopped in as we did our laundry in the same shopping center. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger combo, it hit the spot for sure. My friends got the mahi-mahi, a gravy burger, and garlic shrimp. They all loved their meals! The only complaint we ALL had was that all our meals were served in styrofoam. That’s terrible for Mother Earth. We ate in the dining room, could our meals have been served on plates?? I say yes. It was a great burger though. It was fun listening to the man who took our order shout in a microphone to a person directly in front of him.

Their cheeseburgers have to be one of the best cheeseburgers in kona and its cheap!! Ive had alot of cheeseburgers in my life and here for the price is a great deal. It just has that taste of coming right off the grill and dripping with cheese that reminds me of cooking burgers with my pops in the backyard...that homecook taste that I cant find anywhere else. Not sure about the rest of the food...but wanna good cheeseburger? Come here.... then while your are at it stop next door at dolphin spit and get yourself a cold glass of beer from Alex...
