Kirk Dossey here. I think it is a very good thing that Jenny is doing for these Cats. First of all, my family are Cat Lovers and we had our grand daughter visiting us here in Kona. We were looking for something to do & decided to go to Kona Kat Cafe. It was Great Fun & very relaxing from the hustle & bustle of Kailua Kona. My grand daughter had a great time as did we all. I was tempted to adopt a kitty, but already having 5 cats, I could not justify bringing in another cat that might not fit in with our cats. I hope they can expand into a larger facility eventually with more cats that need rescuing. I highly recommend Kona Kat Cafe. They have lots of merchandise is you are looking for all things pertaining to Kitty Kats, like T-shirts & clothing, also drinks & snacks are available. The only down side for us was the price for parking. But (we don't use this area of Kona much) there is ample free parking in the area, especially if you don't mind walking a bit, and there much to see of interest if you are a tourist , or like me, a local that hasn't kept up with all the changes in this area of Kailua (definitely a tourist attraction as well as a local hangout). Well, we left feeling very relaxed from all the Kitty Vibes, back into busy Kailua. But we live 37 miles south in the bush/jungle so it's not as hectic as I may have made it seem. But, you can always escape into the Peaceful Kat Kosy environment for an hr or more at the Kona Kat Cafe. Mahalo Jenny & staff. God Bless you & the Kitties! Kirk P.S. The Kitties are all so funny, cute & friendly and they seem to really like purses & hats. Like I said I wanted to adopt one, but there at four or five Kats that I would like to have adopted including the House Cat (not up for adoption) Cosmo (already adopted) & at least four or five more including the older Black kitty, Francois & who was so playful & Sweet Coraline, Phineas. I wanted to take them...

Visiting from WI and we saw the sign on the sidewalk. We wanted to spend a bit of time here. Our cat was home. The lady working was a delight to speak with. They sell some dandy cat merchandise if you have an urge for it. My favorite was on display outside the door. It is a T-shirt with the drawing of a cat sitting on a keyboard in front of a monitor. The cat is from IT computer support.

We made an appointment for the following day. It was a very nice visit. My partner, a cat woman in her own right, settled in working with a cat missing an eye. She was eating treats from her hand and settled down in about 10 min. I sat waiting for a few to approach and later went around a corner with a toy and got a cross-eyed cat to play. Following that, the three kittens not out of the cage wanted to play, so I was having a lot of success and interest holding the toy up right next to the cage. The orange tabby kitten figured out pulling the string with a paw would bring part of the toy into the cage. The Siamese was handling the bottom part and the silver tabby was participating in the middle. They were quite energetic.

In all we made 3 stops at the Cafe. The last was our last day on the island. Cat woman did indeed come back with some souvenirs from the cafe and her husband (the guy. I see in the mirror every morning) was happy to pick up the tab.

Stopping here was a one of the very positive experiences we had on this trip. I mean cats are cats. There are no guarantees with the cuddly rascals, but they sure do enjoy the visits. We had a good time. When we came back the last time, the Siamese had been adopted. The orange kitty had been let out of the cage and was able to play free. People came and went. This is...

🐾✨ Purrfection at Kona Kat Café! ✨🐾

We had an absolute blast this morning at the Kona Kat Café! 😻 From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth—both from the friendly staff and the adorable, playful cats that instantly stole our hearts. 🐈💖

The cozy, well-designed space made it easy to relax and enjoy every second with the kitties. Some were feeling playful 🎾🐾, others were in full-on cuddle mode 🥰🐱, and a few just lounged like royalty, allowing us to admire their majesty. 👑🐈

The hour flew by way too fast! ⏳ But it was the purr-fect way to start our day, leaving us with big smiles and happy hearts. ❤️ If you’re in Kona and love cats, this is a must-visit! 🌺🐾

10/10 – Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mahalo to the Kona Kat Café team for creating such a special...

Maybe you are traveling, far away from your feline family members, and you need to get a cat fix? Kona Kat Cafe has a lovely set up. It’s really more about the cats than a cafe, but when we were there they had some yummy looking cookies & drinks if you need a snack. More importantly, they had some beautiful kitties! From teeny kittens up to adult residents, playful cats & snugglers, it’s easy to find a purr here. You might even find a new friend to take home! It’s clear that the cats here are well taken care of by people who love animals. There’s also a very nice gift shop with lots of items for cat lovers at a variety of prices, and some cat toys too! (You weren’t thinking of coming home from vacation without an appeasement toy for your cat, were you?)

Despite ALL the amazing things in Kona and the Big Island; yep you guessed it. A cat cafe (which are literally available almost ANYWHERE) this was my kids' FAVORITE place. I'd only say to remember to bring socks (they have some to purchase at the storefront) and also there is a specific place to pack where you can get it validated so don't pay (yet); just check where to park to get the validation it's MUCH cheaper. Expensive parking aside because I didn't read instructions properly; we had an AMAZING time because cats! I got a canned coffee and the kids got a couple drinks and got some pins and a giant cookie from the store. Would visit here again for sure the cats are so sweet and entertaining!!
