It was okay...not much of a actual chocolate selection, many Items are not made using the Puna chocolate like the macadamia nuts are from another company... I purchased a bag & they didn't taste good. Kind of a tourist trap. I thought they had a case where you pick and choose items and could make a box. It wasn't like that. Also after reading the response from owner... Your wrong I had no samples... I was the first person in the door before samples were put out. The chocolate bar was good BUT not a good *variety confections. I don't just want a bar of chocolate. I think if your a Puna cholate store, *only sell Puna chocolate and items created with *Puna chocolate not a *random other company. You totally made up your response. I was also wearing a mask...

Update: You are overly offended. Take the feed back. I travel All over the world... I go to a lot of places. I thought your store looked *way better in reviews than in reality. Maybe it was off day (idk) I write reviews for a business' to have feed back to improve... I don't keep up my reviews for long, unless they respond in a manner like you did. You are talking about other reviews I've written but you are mischaracterizing them to justify how you feel. That restaurant is not a M star restaurant?... It's brand new & is refusing to give a guest a few extra pieces of lettuce & being rude to guests. I was agreeing with another persons review. I came in December during the holidays... You have no clue which customer I was. So to pretend that you saw a person tweaking is ridiculous. I've never done drugs & rarely drink. How about you sell chocolates Items only made by Puna chocolate sounds offensive to you. Guess what your sales would probably increase. You obviously have...

The chocolate martini's used to be wonderful but they just doubled in price. What I mean to say is that they still charge 12 dollars for the drink but they are putting it into a glass that is half the size. When I asked the waiter about it, he said that they recently changed their menu. This was not a menu change. It was the exact same drink....you just receive half of it now. My wife and I were very disappointed as we had loved coming here by ourselves and with friends to get this special drink. I am guessing that several other items have experienced similar price increases. We will not be returning to the Puna Chocolate Company. UPDATE: Responding to the owners response to this review. Not sure how I was "Social Raging". Just leaving my honest opinion which is that we were saddened that our favorite drink was reduced by half for a dollar more. I understand that inflation is bad, but the inflation rate...

I came to Hawaii for an experience and for the coffee and chocolate, walking inside of puna chocolate was a big mistake. I got to the store around 7:20pm wanting to buy some chocolate as the reviews were great. When entering the people that were hovered over the bar said,"I think we are closed". The sign says they close at 8pm. The staff who work there are extremely rude and they do not care about customers or customer satisfaction. I mean you can tell in the owners responses to customers in the reviews. Extremely tasteless and sad. The store is managed by little college kids whoes parents are too tired to run the business.

They are extremely tasteless people. I would never in a milliom years give them buiness. The way they treated my friend and I . I would save your money and spend lavishly somewhere else where other businesses can flourish and make you...

We visited the Kona location of Puna Chocolate Company and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The place has such a great atmosphere with amazing chocolate, great coffee, and a cocktail lounge upstairs. You can tell they really care about what they make. Everything is rich, smooth, and full of flavor. We tried a mix of their single origin dark chocolate and some of the creative flavors, and every one of them was outstanding. The staff was friendly and happy to share how they make everything from local cacao, which made the visit even more special. It is not the cheapest chocolate you will find, but the quality and the fact that it is made right here on the island make it worth every penny. If you are in Kona and love chocolate, this is a place you should not miss.

Instagram: @KonaFoodie Have you visited the Puna Chocolate Company in Kailua-Kona? It's conveniently located below the Kona Brewing Company Restaurant and it has become one of our favorite hidden gems. This delightful spot not only offers a wide range of incredible local chocolates, but they also have a cocktail bar in the back where they expertly infuse chocolate ingredients. The taste is super delicious. Additionally, they have an upstairs area with extra seating, making it a perfect venue for a night out with friends before or after dinner. While we haven't sampled all the cocktails yet, the ones we have tried were excellent, and the addition of the delectable chocolate flavor takes them to a whole new level of amazingness!

First time Aussies visiting Kona - put into google best hot chocolate and this shop came up. Small shop in funky area, with lots of other things to look at. A roasting was taking place out the front and the girl didn’t like having to talk to you! And there is a sign that says go inside for more info!! Still was interesting to watch. We tried the samples out - milk and dark one. Brought some And had a ice hot chocolate made with oat milk. Very yum. Definitely recommend the ice hot chocolate Thanks for the reply - however the young girl was not wearing headphones - she was drinking a drink (ice coffee or chocolate) and engaging in conversation with her co- worker.. no safety elements were worn including PPE..
