Subway — Restaurant in Hawaii

I got to this subway around 445 pm. Kathy was very rude! No one was in the dining area except for me and a worker either getting off of work or waiting to clock in. I ordered a foot long turkey bacon then ordered a six inch. I asked if the Kathy could cut the six inch the old way, instead of clearly saying I don't know how to, she looked at me with an attitude and said we don't do that. Then looked back and forth at Cindy (manager) who was at the cash register and Bonita who was between Cindy and herself as if I asked to receive my food for free. She the said something I couldn't hear. Thats when Cindy tells me no one knows how to do that. In the heat of the moment I gave attitude back and said "Are you serious?" I tell her I'll just have the foot long. From that point I did not try to be polite as I did not receive the same gesture after requesting a different cut. I want to make it clear I did not go out of my way to be rude or yell at them I just treated them as I was treated. When it was time to pay the register was running slow. Thankfully Cindy let me sit down and enjoy my sandwich and cookie with my son before having to pay and while waiting for the register. We ate our food and went to pay. I could've easily walked out with out paying because Bonita and Cindy forgot about it. But I paid my bill as the sandwich was delicious and my son definitely liked the cookie. All in all, I am disappointed with the service here. And will not be back...

!!!5 star service!!! I live here and come here regularily. Low rating to get owners attention. Owners: TAKE CARE of your employees. These poor older women have been working with zero air conditioning for 2 months. Lahaina literally means land of the relentless sun. It’s basically 20 degrees warmer inside I’m not surprised if it’s near 100 degrees in there. I noticed this over a month ago and nothing has been done. Unfair and unethical working conditions. They are hard workers and deserve cool working conditions. Everyone please tip these ladies well they’ve been through a lot and are such good workers that I look forward to...

Feel bad for the older lady they have working there - clearly it's too fast of a pace for her to handle & the other worker would try to help but more like scolded her repeatedly. There was one person in front of us & it took 15 minutes to get our 2 foot long subs. As the younger worker was changing out freshly baked bread she dropped a whole tray on the ground - instead of throwing the dropped bread directly in the garbage can she picked it back up & put it on the tray & put the tray on the bottom rack (obviously definitely planning on using that bread later).
